yes

There is no God or gods.

Everything just happened fortuitously.

And everyone that believes differently is wrong.

Quite simple indeed.

Atheism is "simplistic" and "empty"? Wow, my Jesus-loving friends, haven't you got a chip on your shoulder.

While you may not agree with another person's beliefs, dismissing it as "simplistic" and "empty" is arrogant. That said, isn't pride one of the seven deadly sins? Aren't you instructed "judge not, that ye be not judged"? And aren't you pronouncing judgment here, inspired by pride?

Seems to me you haven't gotten YOUR OWN belief system quite figured out yet, given that you are violating its core principles so blatantly. Sort out your own beliefs, por favor, before bashing someone else's.

This is a trick question, huh? You're really trying to expose the 'simplistic' brains of theists, aren't you? They are the only people stupid enough to think Atheism is a belief system at all.

If by "simplistic" you mean our minds aren't cluttered with the various vulgarities of organized religion, and we're not burdened with the psychological shackles of manufactured guilt, then yes, I guess you could say our beliefs are simple. Not believing in spirits, gods, and devils leaves more room for logic, reason, and understanding the world.

Actually if you're trying to be honest...I'd say that any religious belief system is simpler than a belief in no Gods.

What religion tells you is...believe what you're told...no matter how incredible it sounds...without question.

What could possibly be easier than that???

Atheism is a belief system like bald is a hair style.

there are going to be atheists who rail on this question but I think are right. They are going to say that atheism is a lack of belief, and thus you are wrong, but I feel that the typical person living in America is exposed to religion before he is exposed to atheism and thus atheism will be an active rejection of religion and not a passive observation of lack of evidence for religion.

this is not true for every atheist but i think it is probably true for most of them.

In general even atheists share a range of values and you cannot sweep them all with one brush

to people who disagree with me, why does belief system have to mean a theological belief?

If you talk about belief, it should involve a supreme being aka God. Atheism doesn't believe in any God so atheism is not a belief.

The universe is so good to be existed on coincidence.

It takes years of study and perserverance and set backs to get to a greater understanding of atheism. It's not as simple as just believing whatever you are told and if you don't understand it just to have faith, it is a neverending discovery

*sigh* Belief system?

There's no "belief" about it.

Atheism is a LACK of belief in gods. That's it.

And in that way yeah, it's really really simple.

Atheism is not a belief system. It is the ABSENCE of belief in a god or gods.
