It is something I heard. But, how can you get help from people if you don't tell them ? Or do they mean whinning and nagging??

Set me straight because I do complain and nag a lot :(

It is not mentioned in the Bible. Infact quite the opposite. The Bible tells us to help each other in their time of burden, so how else would you know that they had a problem unless they told you...

Complaining is a valid way of letting others know you are unhappy or dissatisfied, but iIt's certainly not a great way to communicate *everything* you have to say!

If you feel like you are complaining a lot, you could think about the occasions you complain and whether there would have been a more positive way to speak ~ such as, 'the service here would be a little faster if they had extra staff' instead of 'the service here is always terrible'.

You could also consider whether you have simply fallen into the habit of speaking in a complaining way, or i the things you are complining about are actually worth getting upset enough to complain.

As an exercise, you could make a point of going for a whole day without saying one negative thing. Every time you feel like complaining, say something nice instead. So if the waiter/ress is slow, you could say 'thanks for your effort, I can see you are busy'.

If people close to you notice and comment ('wow, you're in a good mood today', for example), the chances are you do usually complain more than most.

Good luck and best wishes! :-)

I'm not sure. I did some quick searching that came out inconclusive.

Complain to God instead, though; He actually has the power to do something about it.

You should take a good look at why you're complaining (or doing anything) and find out who it is for. If it is for you and not God, then you have a problem.

Have you ever heard the Old Testament story about the people who were grumbling in the desert? God struck them dead.

That's what I think about when I've been 'grumbling'. God may not strike me dead, but I can clearly see His opinion on the matter.

its when you cross the line from nagging or bitching to downright gossip. When it goes from a real gripe to damaging a person in gossip,it becomes a sin

Whoever told you that it's a sin is lying. They just don't want to be bothered with you and are not nice.

TO COMPLAIN OF YOUR PROBLEMS-SUFFERINGS IS A SIN BECAUSE IT MEANS GOD DOES NOT KNOW YOU OR YOUR SINS FOR WHICH THE SUFFERING HAS COME BUT TO EXPLAIN THEM AND SEEK HELP IS NOT A SIN.IT IS YOUR RIGHT.gfr.

It depend very much on your intention. If your intention is good, it is not a sin and likewise.
