Does that say that God doesn't want to listen to you directly, that it's only of substance through Jesus?

Not necessarily. The Lord's Prayer, which Jesus taught, addresses God the Father directly. But there is nothing wrong with asking for things in the name of Jesus.

Peace and blessings!

Who prays through Jesus? I mean some catholics pray through the saints but during the whole reformation thing the protestants said that it was ok to pray straight to God, with no intermediary. Also, if you want to get really technical about it, at the Diet of Worms (or possibly the council of trent) they agreed that praying to any of the trinity (father, son, holy ghost) was the same thing.

Jesus is God's son, so when you pray through him you automatically pray to Jesus, they are one together. Jesus spirit only came to Earth in human flesh to be a living sacrifice for sinners salvation.

praying in Jesus’ name means praying with his authority and asking God the father to act upon our prayers because we come in the name of his son, Jesus. praying in Jesus' name means the same thing as praying according to the will of God

jesus, god and the holy spirit are one. They all listen all the time.
Jesus loves you and when you pray to him you are praying to all three. God is amazing and always has time to listen. I encourage you to read the bible, go to church, talk to a religous friend about it.

Jesus said 'the way to the Father is through the Son' also said"whatsoever you ask of the Father in My name will be given unto you." Jesus said it, I believe it and that settles it for me.

Christianity tells you that you must pray through Jesus. I am not Christian and I pray directly to God. It all depends on your beliefs...

I dont HAVE to pray through Jesus.

I GET to do all through Jesus.

Because I was burried with him and resurected with him.
Because I am now a member of his body, bone of his bone
flesh of his flesh.

You are thinking carnally and in the physical........Jesus is the NAME........ that was given so that we could be saved.
