Not at all. Remember, Satan never questioned God's power to rule. He was never that crazy. He did get humans to question God's RIGHT to rule. In Job, Satan has a conversation with God where he tries to imply the only reason any man obeys God is for what we can get out of it. We would never just worship him out of love for who he is or what he has done in the past.
For 6,000 yrs., God has allowed the question to be settled. Clearly man is a failure at ruling himself. Though the majority of man has turned against God's rule, there is a substantial number who worship God out of love. Satan has failed. At God's own time, Satan will be dealt with.

Satan is not the root of all suffering. Man's disobedience to God, otherwise known as sin, is at the root of all suffering. God isn't powerless against anyone, but is long suffering, will that none should perish.

No. Satan is a creation with no power over the Creator. God lets satan go about to test the faith of God's followers. God never allows temptation that we humans cannot handle. God may destroy satan at any millisecond in time.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

God allows suffering through satan, our flesh and the world system. He created them all. When evil is chosen over good in free will, suffering happens. Man wanted the knowledge of good and evil and he got it. God can stop it at any time, and He will soon most likely. We have until then or until we die to find His solution for sin. Here it is:

satan is the root of all evil, not the suffering, the way man lives they put on their own suffering. If smoked all my life and I die of lung cancer it would be my own fault, not God's or satan. I drank my self to death it would be my own fault not God's or satan..men put alot of suffering on themselves but they like to blame God and satan as well..gee never thought I would stick up for him, what a thought..and one more thing God is all POWERFUL in all things..even satan
