Consider this: Lets say you and I were going to meet at the local swimming pool. I get there before you do and see a group of nasty terrorist drain the pool of water and fill it with acid.

When you get there, I warn you not to jump into the pool - because it is filled with acid and will kill you. But to you, the pool looks cool and refreshing as always.

How much would you want me to do to keep you from jumping into the pool? Tackle you? Or, just casually say "you shouldn't jump in".

So the question is, if I were to see you about to do something that could cause you to die, wouldn't you want me to warn you about it?

Jesus said that those who reject Him would experience Hell.

Bill Weise wrote a book called "23 minutes in Hell" where he describes what he saw and felt when he went to Hell. You can see his testimony on www.SpiritLessons.com

First, I think a precursor must preceed that question. You have not met every Christian in the world, so you cannot say that Christians in general have threatened you. That being said, if you want to know why the Christians you have encountered have come to you in this manner there can be several explanations. The thought of hell to many people is not a threat but rather a reality. The Bible teaches that as Christians they are to "go into all the world and preach the gospel." For some that means teaching the love of Christ, for other his sacrifice and for others that means revealing what they believe to be the truth about the after life.
