Does this mean nothing to you? Can't you see that His kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?

These are not my words, but they are in the Bible, in Romans chapter 2 verse 4.

Yes, the bible says it is His KINDNESS that leads us to repentence.
Many will just remain hard at heart, just as God tells us that many are just so blind, and that only HE can heal them! That is why we must continue sharing His truth with others, because that is how "faith" comes! From hearing His word! (Romans 10:17)
I often wonder the same thing, how can someone reject the most important free gift of all? God is so gracious and so merciful!!
But pride has made a thick veil over many's eyes.....and as God says He is opposed to the proud but gives grace to the humble- James 4:6

Oh, sure. He's so kind that he set up an entire world geared to validate his own insecure ego and torment those who fail to meet his vague and inconsistent expectations. He is so tolerant that he created a system in which at birth, I am condemned to eternal torment simply for being human. Then he is so patient that he gives me a short mortal lifespan to prove my worthiness by resisting all the natural inclinations he has instilled in me, after which I can be tortured forever for failing to find the solution to the ridiculously posed riddle of Christian salvation and faith he has supposedly laid before me.

it truly is a shame that Reportbot would not get that appearing in accordance to at least one's nature could no longer unavoidably coincide with appearing in accordance to selfishness or carnal instinct because God made guy's nature in His photograph and likeness, and sin did not ruin guy's nature, no matter if it wounded it (sorry prots, i'm a Catholic and reject Luther's theory that guy continues to be purely a sinner redeemed devoid of the opportunity of ever growing perfected, see a million Thes 5). I do imagine that His staying power is loving. Thank God for his constancy regardless of my infidelity. Oh and solar, no Father in his suitable innovations might want to enable his Son to die for the sins of others. Hell is a actuality because of the liberty of guy. God does no longer stress guy to settle for redemption. guy continues to be loose to completely say no to God. And the form of ingredient unquestionably saddens God because God is loving and wills all to be in comunion in Him. yet love can't stress some thing and neither does love deny the reality of sin and loose will.

How can something that does not exist be "wonderfully kind, tolerant and patient"? If a god had those attributes you would expect his/her followers to share them. As it is clear from most of the posts here that kindness, tolerance and patience are not qualities seen in god-botherers, I would suggest that the gods they worship don't have those qualities.

I think this demonstrates the neverending patience of
Gods love for all mankind.

As you got up this morning, I watched you, and hoped you would talk to me, even if it was just a few words, asking my opinion or thanking me for something good that happened in your life yesterday. But I noticed you were too busy, trying to find the right outfit to wear.

When you ran around the house getting ready, I knew there would be a few minutes for you to stop and say hello, but you were to busy. At one point you had to wait fifteen minutes with nothing to do except sit in a chair. Then I saw you spring to your feet. I thought you wanted to talk to me but you ran to the phone and called a friend to get the latest gossip instead. I watched patiently all day long. With all our activities I guess you were too busy to say anything to me.

I noticed that before lunch you looked around, maybe you felt embarrassed to talk to me, that is why you didn't bow your head. You glanced three or four tables over and you noticed some of your friends talking to me briefly before they ate, but you didn't. That's okay. There is still more time left, and I hope that you will talk to me yet.

You went home and it seems as if you had lots of things to do. After a few of them were done, you turned on the TV. I don't know if you like TV or not, just about anything goes there and you spend a lot of time each day in front of it not thinking about anything, just enjoying the show. I waited patiently again as you watched the TV and ate your meal, but again you didn't talk to me.

Bedtime I guess you felt too tired. After you said goodnight to your family you plopped into bed and fell asleep in no time. That's okay because you may not realize that I am always there for you.. I've got patience, more than you will ever know.... I even want to teach you how to be patient with others as well.

I love you so much that I wait everyday for a nod, prayer or thought, or a thankful part of your heart. It is hard to have a one-sided conversation.

Well, you are getting up once again. Once again I will wait, with nothing but love for you. Hoping that today you will give me some time. Have a nice day!

Your friend,

GOD

And what about the other 'god' of christianity - the deity of the Old Testament. He was vengeful, spiteful, mean, preferred to use violence to settle his differences and asked people to kill their own as a test of obedience?

It almost sounds like your deity has a Multiple Personality Disorder.

Sorry, no. I get distracted by how unkind, intolerant and impatient christians are. You represent your faith and I will assume you do it accurately. I would also have to assume that if I read the bible and became a christian (again) I would become unkind, intolerant and impatient too. How is that supposed to be a good thing?

I am so glad this a Saturday and I don't have to go anywhere tomorrow. I'm gonna be so drunk by midnight if this question is any indication of how the rest of the night is going to go.

This falls into the "If you stay out of my face, I"ll stay out of yours category". But as we all know in practice many/most Christians find this hard to do, as they expect everyone to live by their own set of fantasies.

Basically the only situation I find totally acceptable is for Christians to keep their religion to themselves.
