To place the blame of dogma on religion "in general", one must claim to not be a part of it themselves.
Many people of various faiths like to think of themselves as "lone soldiers"... but they don't like being identified with others who get in trouble for the same line of thinking.
Really - who wants to be associated with George Bush, Jerry Falwell and the Salem Witch Trials?
As a Buddhist, I would not want to be associated with the fascism of China... so I might try to differentiate myself from that Dogma by claiming that I have "spirituality" whereas they have only religion... get it?

Unfortunately, the religion of chrisianity as it is today has been infiltrated by the political and personal agenda of mankind. When Yashua was on earth he did not come to start a religion. He did come to show us how to have a relationship with our Creator. That was the purpose. Ofcourse over time men have done what we do best. Christianity in the terms that you are talking about is a religion. Yes, I believe in our Savior Yashua(also know as Jesus, Christ, Lord) and his mission here while he was on Earth. I also realize that men have done alot to mess this mission and his message up and I hope that individuals take time to truly search for themselves.

Because Christ did not started a Religion, It's suppose to be a family and a Relationship with God, not a business enterpreneurship.
That's the reason why all churches, regarding which doctrine or denomination they are, is basically following a "Roman Catholic/Pagan" system.
Read more on the book of Acts and you'll find that Christianity is not a religion, It's your personal walk with God and at the Same time, A gathering of People Which is called the Body of Christ.

Christianity is not a religion. But when you question one that serves God,you get an answer and often God put one of his in the spot light just like Satan puts others in the spot light. God does not hide us under a bushel so man can not see he puts us up on a stand so you can see.We are a shining light, Jesus is our example a shining light. He sends his word wherever,so man can find it. God wants all men to be saved,do not get offended when we tell you, this is not our opinion it is often Gods word, there are Atheist that searched the scriptures looking for something they can accuse Christians about, the false reports they think is in God's word yet they found none and during their search, they began to believe the word of God! Where there is life people there is still hope! It is God that changes the heart of a man or woman,we can only tell the news.PRAISE GOD FOR HIS UNFAILING LOVE TOWARDS MEN AND WOMEN!!!!!

Christianity is a religion.
Let me repeat:
Christianity is a religion.
In case some people still don't get it:
Christianity is a religion.
Some Christians argue it's a 'relationship', and not a religion. This makes the critical assumption that the two are mutually exclusive. Just as an object can be red and round at the same time, Christianity can be both labels at once too.

i'm a Christian and an ordained minister in between the major denominations. I understand your question and please settle for my apology for the impolite and hateful feedback you've basically persisted. convinced Christianity is a faith, and convinced we preachers do attempt to get our flock to do not overlook that faith is going deeper then going to church and making a music and doing each and every of the psychical issues one thinks a Christian ought to do. that's a relationship with Christ, yet also a faith. thanks for forgiving the impolite comments. i recognize that they meant nicely, yet did not recognize the thanks to reply to. I frequently advance this correct difficulty in my sermons from time to time. We as Christians ought to stay in accordance to what we declare and that i agree that by utilising going to a communicate board like this and declaring such issues as Christianity isn't a faith, yet a relationship with Christ is unproductive and does make those who say it look like they don't have any information of scripture or what real religions fairly is. Christians ought to admit that Christianity is a faith with out forgetting to have a relationship with our Savior. when I say Christianity isn't only a faith yet a relationship with Christ, i'm attempting to awaken slumbering Christians. i'm hoping no on In my church comes the following declaring such issues as that and attacking an straightforward question. God Bless

Christianity is not a religion but a relationship with god, that does not mean you have to separate your self and hide in a closet. the word of god needs It be shared, a christian is not a christian if they sit by and watch people not accept the free gift of eternal life.

Wow, what do you mean Atheists say that xtians are not religious. dumb questions require dumb answers... I usually save this quote for the xtians, but today, it is for you:
Thomas Jefferson once said, “Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be a distinct idea of the trinity. It is the abracadabra of the mountebanks calling themselves the priests of Jesus”
