If you know you're faith in Jesus means you are going to heaven, and I know God is going to use me as a fire-cracker on Judgment Day because I do not believe Jesus to be the Son of God, Doesn't that mean you -must- be Holier than me?

God wouldn't let you in if you aren't Holy enough to deserve it, would He?

And since He's going to keep me out, obviously I am not Holy enough for His taste.

Doesn't that mean you must be Holier than me?

If he was a Middle Eastern man, why wouldn't his skin be darker? Why did he not wear long hair on the sides of his face or wear a yarmulca like other Orthodox Jews? Every picture I see of him, makes him look like he's a white Protestant guy from the midwest.

Why not just put all the books in the Bible and let people decide for themselves what to believe?

Luke 14:26

"If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be my disciple.

(I´m so happy that I´m atheist and I have not follow this kind of orders. Violence to relatives and sucidal tendencies from christ)

This is a take on another question asked by Ecclesiastes "Problems with Catholicism" he chickened out with his chosen answer so I think it appropriate to ask the same question of Protestantism.

Here is where I have the problem and I'll keep it shorter than good old Ecclesiastes, lack of unity. How can the Holy Spirit be guiding all these differing denominations in the fullness of truth and they each refer to each as "Christian" (to the exclusion of Catholics) but totally lack doctrinal unity?

I'm anticipating the answers which claim "But we do agree on what is primary and disagree on what is secondary or peripheral". Question two: who decides what is primary your local pastor? In my opinion many of you haven't thought this invisible body theology out very well.

I was brought up a Christian. Now I'm an atheist. When I think of myself then and now, it feels as if I've stepped into the light: I feel freer and less fearful, as if I've cast off shackles. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

Christianity is just a mixture of different things from different religions.... all the customs and beliefs were taken from religions that existed at the time of Jesus,
Even the Virgin birth, Resurrection, savior etc were taken from other pagan religions.....

Even the bible was modified an innumerable number of times, taking inputs from different pagan customs and beliefs

Jesus is just a teacher or prophet....
follow only his good teachings.....

I want to save Christians from the so called Christianity....
which is more attrocious than the Jihadis...

Save this world from Christians...
Please follow only good teachings of Christ.....
You people are fooled in the name of Christ

If not, then they are reading and teaching violence in the name of GOD.

Many in Iraq and other wars have quoted the OT while committing violent acts in the name of Christianity.

Why do christians advocate their religion as an alternative scientific theory when they claim that it works on faith, in the first place! Does it show that "faith" as a basis of their religion is losing it's credibility and they're shifting towards methods of science to prove their religion but obviously they end up looking fools.

What do you think about christians calling scientists out of themselves to prove ridiculous stories of Noah's Ark, Young earth, Creationism from Genesis, etc...

In any scientific discipline, evidence, theory and rigorous testing are required, followed by peer review and repeatable results.

In religion, all you need is a pulpit or and someone dumb enough to listen to you.

First off , let me say that I believe a 'rapture' is possible and if true, I'm very hopeful . Through my readings of the Bible, I believe we may be living during a period called the 'sorrows' which immediately precedes the 'endtimes' . So I've got something for you to consider . And I haven't heard any of the evangelists speak of it, although they may have . . . . .. . . ..... . . . .. Have you considered that ALL children may be raptured ?
And just how would the world cope with all of the children gone ?

This week a soilder from my hometown- Pocatello, Idaho died from a roadside bomb. His funeural is today at an LDS church on Idaho State University campass. There are people comming all the way from Texas to protest the LDS church, and the war. It may be so bad that they may rap plastic all around the church. This makes me sick. This man died for our country, and the freedoms we enjoy. Without people like him, those people woudn't be able to protest.

But it's supposedly written by the Creator of human biology, so it's impossible to overlook the errors.

Isaac Asimov wrote many books on biology, and many other topics, including science fiction, but his references to biology are still accurate and consistent regardless of the purpose of the book, BECAUSE HE UNDERSTOOD BIOLOGY.

The only conclusion i can draw from the glaring ignorance of biology contained in the books of the Bible is that it was written by people with little or no knowledge of the subject, and certainly not by the Creator of the human physiology.

No real creator would display such a glaring lack of interest in his own work, or make such sloppy mistakes.

But then, if Jesus were really God, he would have known about viruses, instead of calling them demons.

Why does the church not admit it has problems, try to fix them, and then make sure they don't happen again. This is getting out of hand, the ammount of rapes going on with in churches, that are supposed to be safe.

60 years ago in Croatia people were put to death and cut open if they didn't convert to catholicism. Jesuits massacred native indians etc etc etc...
