Not all who claim to be Christian live up to the name. Jesus said at Matt. 7:21-23: “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness."

I cannot stand religion in general and the evangelical right wing nut jobs are making me dislike theirs more so than others lately. They only pick and choose certain parts of the bible to follow that are pretty lame if you think about it. This book was written by a PERSON 2k years ago. Ever play the game telephone? That proves that a story cannot even be told properly for a few minutes amongst a few people. Imagine all the things that could be wrong with the bible. Further, if you are supposed to preach love, why not for all of gods creatures? Like gay people? How about being for the death penalty but against abortion? Just a whole lot of convenient picking and choosing going on. Lame. Totally lame.

The Land Letter was a letter sent to President George W. Bush by five evangelical Christian leaders on October 3, 2002 which outlined their theological support for a just war pre-emptive invasion of Iraq. The letter was written by Richard D. Land, president of the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. It was co-signed by Chuck Colson, founder of Prison Fellowship Ministries, Bill Bright, chairman of Campus Crusade for Christ, James Kennedy, president of Coral Ridge Ministries, and Carl D. Herbster, president of the American Association of Christian Schools.

Real Christians don't do these things.
The people who did this was using Christ name because it gives them power.
Real Christians create hospitals I am sure you have seen hospitals named after Saints.
Real Christians create charities like the Salvation Army.
Real Christians open up crisis pregnancy centers to give options to woman who would otherwise abort her child.
Real Christians are responsible for outlawing cruel practices like the one that forced widows to jump into their husband's funeral fire.
Real Christians like William Wilberforce made laws that improved conditions for children who had to work in England, and tirelessly campaigned to end slavery in England.
Real Christians created the idea of God parents, so if the parents of a child died the child wasn't pushed out on the street to be forgotten.
The Bible defines what it is to be a Christian and the Bible says to love your enemies.

Could not find anything on the Croatian incident. Does Christianity have a perfect slate... no, but we do not dwell on the past, in fact we are willing to forget the 200 million that have been killed by atheism since 1917. Yet 3,000 killed by a Spanish king wanting to unite his country over 500 years ago, is still dwelt on, and used for evidence against christianity.

Why do religious people do evil in the name of God? Many people, in their zeal to defend God, will disobey God in their zeal to hurt and kill. Jesus' followers were told that they will be killed because other religious men will think they are pleasing God.
Of course, non-religious people kill others for lesser reasons, like money or disagreements. Non-religious people will start wars and kill thousands of ethnic minorities through hatred. This killing and hate is not a God-mandated thing, but a sinner-initiated thing.
Many atrocities were indeed done in the name of God. However, many atrocities were done in the name of atheism. Should one stop becoming an atheist because of Pol Pot, Stalin, and other vicous tyrannical rulers?
Many others are only religious by cultural influence, not because they follow God. Many people are of the Hindu or Muslim or Christian faith simply by virtue of their territorial upbringing. This does not mean they read and follow the teachings of their faith.

i did no longer watch the video because of the fact I already recognize what you're speaking approximately. i found out quite it sluggish in the past that God/Jesus and faith have been 2 very quite some issues. guy stronger religions. God develops relationships with each man or woman. attending to sure to a particular faith or denomination gadgets it above God.

Jesus himself said "By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.” (John 13:35)
If the love is missing, then the person or group are not true Christians. Move on.

Sorry, your arguements don't fly. Men did these things as did men of many religions and even those who were not believers. IN THE PAST.
