This week a soilder from my hometown- Pocatello, Idaho died from a roadside bomb. His funeural is today at an LDS church on Idaho State University campass. There are people comming all the way from Texas to protest the LDS church, and the war. It may be so bad that they may rap plastic all around the church. This makes me sick. This man died for our country, and the freedoms we enjoy. Without people like him, those people woudn't be able to protest.

Everyone has the right to their viewpoints, but there is a time and a place. A funeral should be a place for a family and friends to grieve-not for people who want to air their views on Mormons or the War.

It is the Westboro Baptist Church. Those creeps need to get a life.

Some people are so myopic they should just be placed in a small box to live because they can't see anything but their 'cause'. Your right I hope that Idaho police keep thosenimrods at least a mile away from the church and the gravesite and the news ignores them. They only do this for the publicity you know half of them were probably paid to go there. I hope the family calls the state police too the locals will probably need help on this one.

You can call the police for stuff like that, you know. They can protest, but they cannot touch anything and cannot hurt people and have to protest a certain distance away from the church. Especially if it's on a university campus.

I'm sorry, my friend, about your hometown hero, but I enjoyed the freedoms I have long before he died in a stupid war that has spawned more electronic surveillance here in the land of the "free", than over there in the land of the dead.

I am very sad to hear that, those people you are talking about sound like the strange family from the westborough church group. They are just plain evil, the things that say and do - go against the very teachings that they are so fond of worshipping! I suggest punishing them by ignoring them and throwing various human waste matter at them, every time they go on one of their protests!

Among the things he died to protect is the First Amendment, the right to speak freely. They are accountable to themselves, not to you, whether you agree with them or not.

Anger is part of grief, but I urge you direct yours differently than at these protesters who sincerely believe they are doing right. Hate the sin, not the sinner.

Hate the war and warmongers, not those who protest against them.

These people are sick individuals. They should be ashamed of their actions. Every church is sacred and should not have to be wrapped in plastic to be protected from angry protesters. It makes me sick to think people can be so insensitive. I really how they cancel the protest.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!

I agree, nobody likes war, but those who fight and/or die are heroes nonetheless--if you chose to protest, protest the government, not the men and women who are just doing their dangerous jobs trying to keep planes from crashing into your workplace

perhaps the local authorities can stop them from trespassing? Or arrest them for criminal damage to property. I have no idea what an LDS church is, nor do I care but there i s no need to disrespect one of our boys who gave his life for our freedom
that is sick
