Yes! You've kind of answered my question on the need for organized denominations. All testing, peer review, is done by the leaders. But if someone goes to the pulpit, that proves they are looking for something. If Jesus is preached out of the Bible, they will become hungry and want to read more for themselves. When they see error they will either confront or leave. Paul says to test what he preaches by the scriptures. If all preachers had that policy, that would be good, maybe we would have less religion and more true Christ followers.

In religion all you need is a pulpit and someone dumb enough to listen to you. Remember Jim Jones and the Haley Comet suicides all in the name of religion.

Not only the part you don't understand but the part you don't want to believe or accept. "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teaches, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth unto fables.

Please remember: Religion is not the same as Christianity. Religion is manmade; christianity is a way of life in Christ Jesus.

Yes, pulpit, fictional books designed to instill fear, and dumb people with money in their pockets make a religion.
