I suppose its more logical to believe they came from slime? I don't think dust is too far from how life on earth could have come about. Adam and Eve are not literal characters anyway. Adam is the Hebrew word for Man. so it is likely that Adam was all of mankind, Eve translate to Life, so it is likely that she was not intended to represent woman. her role comes to play during the "fall of man" (if you were writing a story and needed a character to tempt a man, who better than a woman?) so anyway, Mankind was created from dust. that doesn't say it was a spontaneous generation of a species from dust. it could have been a very slow development, like sculpting a work of art, it starts out as a lump of clay but over time and with changes and modification it becomes a work of art. and through that time of creation, which I believe is not over yet, and with each generation and as offspring moved from one region to another, we have species with differences and similarities. okay, so the bible says this was done in 7 days. the thing is that time was irrelevant to the point of the book of Genesis. this book was not written to satisfy the scientific curiosities of how or when life was created, just that it was God that did the creating. These other species were also irrelevant to the writings of the bible, this book focuses on Gods relationship with Humans, there would be no reason to follow the lineage of other primates.

This skirts along the lines of evolution vs creation. It all depends on what you believe. Me personally I know what I have been taught that God created Adam and Eve in his own image and the hominids, coincidence or perhaps God has a very good since of humor and did that to get people to talk to each other :) Just a thought

It's more complicated than just "creating from dust" like making mud pies. Everything in the universe was created from cosmic "dust" . The reason other hominids resemble us is that God used the same basic design for most of his creatures..... 2 eyes, 2 ears, 2 arms (or wings) one mouth, etc.

We believe the account of Genesis where God created all the animals on one day by speaking them into existence on th fifth and sixth days. On the sixth day God created man in a way distinct from the animals. He made us in his own image. Though our bodies may share resemblances to bodies in the animal kingdom (two legs, lungs, brains, etc.), we are special because we are created to have fellowship with God.
We are created out of the ground. When you take mineral supplements, what do you take? You take elements that are in common with the ground (the dust) and your body! Zinc, iron, copper, magnesium, selenium, and other minerals are in your body and in the ground--because you were made from the ground and share its elements.
By the way, only Adam was created out of the ground, not Eve.
Other hominids look like us in the same way competing car makers use the same similar designs over and over -- the design just works!

Interesting 'brain teaser.'
Mankind was created by God the Creator who is the intelligent designer of all things. The things created are visible and invisible to our human eyes. No other logic in my understanding.
He gives us an answer that we can understand in the Genesis account. Did he have to explain the complexity in mathematical and scientific terms for man to understand. He only tells us that man being from dust was created by Him. As you know the elements of the earth are found in man and all creatures that are made of flesh and blood, made up of their own DNA. Because He didn't go into detail to explain how he created hominids is of no importance. He gave man the intelligence to learn and take care of the animals and to take care of our earth.

Actually your question is about your own satisfaction. I believe that God just created Adam and Eve from mud that's why we will go to the mud after death. secondly God Almighty have created pair of every creation ,there are 18000 round about creations in which hum-en being is crown of creation. we are for the God and other creations are for us. we will serve God other creations will serve us.if we will not other will too not. we are representative of God in this world. its our responsibility to and duty of life to think over God creations and understand the purpose of creation.its no dout hominides looke like us but we are major they are minor.ok by by

Him Momom:
Your question should be taken quite seriously because of its redemptive quality.
You see, Adam was made from dust, and Eve from the wound in Adam's side (rib). This pointed down in history to Christ receiving His bride (the church) from the wound in His side.
You see, the plan of redemption is revealed even before sin entered our planet.
This is explained in more detail on a link in my profile.

God created the animals then man...the apes are just animals. They may have a face like a human but are not human. They have not got the qualities of a worshiper of God.
And God made them for the amusement of humans. Humans are to have in subjection all the animals and fish and to have them for food if they so choose.

Satan has the power to create life too. My theory: When God cast satan to the earth he took a hand a creating his own life forms: dinosaurs and what we call prehistoric man. I mean, it is obvious that they existed, isn't it? I do not dispute that. However, when God said, "ok, now it's my turn" he destroyed what satan created and made Adam and Eve.

God created all things...He created the animals and then created man. Man, He created in His image. A separate species unto itself.
I do not understand the logic of your statement, but I will tell you there are many animals that "resemble" other animals, but that does not make them the same.
Check your science books.
