Seriously. They have nothing better to do? I'm not religious in terms of being a Christian or a Jew or anything, but that's ok. I believe in people's rights to believe what they want. I'm actually a bit jealous of religious people sometimes. The real ones I know (not the Easter/Christmas crowd, but the REAL ones) seem to have such a great outlook and happiness. Not that I'm depressed, but I'm still looking for my answers, and they've found theirs. I'm happy for them. But I've always seen religion as being something you can't just fake. Or just DECIDE you believe in. .You do or you don't. And so far I haven't seen one that really works for me. But I'm also not ruling any one out. And I certainly wouldn't poke fun at any. (well, maybe a little, but in a good way, not the stupid offensive questions you see posted here sometimes.)
(Huh... I just realized this is all one big paragraph...well, I'm not going all back through to edit. :) whoops.)

Why do people ask stupid religion questions in this section?
Honestly... the real question is why do people ask questions like yours when it can be applied to anyone?
Last I looked, anyone is free to post here.

Hard to tell sometimes which questions are stupid and which are sincere, though there's more than a fair amount of trolling here. "Religion & Spirituality" takes in a huge amount of turf, because it is completely possible to be one without being the other. I keep telling myself that even the most blatant and obnoxious zealots here might just accidentally learn something about someone else or some belief system other than their own. If we help even one person become a little more informed and enlightened, than it won't have been a waste of time.

Some trolls here are just entertaining themselves. I generally just ignore them. Those who ask legit-sounding questions then end with a zinger get reported for wasting my time. Otherwise, I just live and let live.
Actually you DO have to make your decision about Jesus. But there's plenty of evidence for everything we are required to believe, so it's no biggie for me. Just common sense and an open mind. From the sound of your q, I'm optomistic about you. You will find your answers if you want to.
All the best!

Because there are always someone willing to give stupid anti-religious answers to stupid anti-religious questions.
Some people often come up with very funny questions and answers, not intended to be offensive, and they are good to release some steam.
(This section can be a bit stressful some times)...

Perhaps "stupid anti-religion questions" as you put it can at least get everyone to think a bit more about things. Why does one believe what one believes and such. Critique is healthy and results in growth.

What good is life if there is no laughter, or other emotions? What good is having an opinion if you can't use them on a question asked? There is no such thing as a stupid question, there is no such thing as an unanswerable question. And there is one simple solution to your question, If you don't like a question don't respond to it.
fyi look at as testing your faith or patience.

There are trolls and trouble-makers in all the sections. This gives you a good idea on the number of people who simply have nothing better to do.

nicely i do no longer make interesting of them, yet I do discover it stupid. for instance, if someone printed contained in the R&S section asking about flying area bunnies, in case you knew they were thoroughly severe about it, you would likely discover it stupid too. (replace flying area bunnies with an invisible all seeing all understanding God who created a guy from airborne dirt and mud, female from rib, then speaking snake confident to devour from magical tree, then an invisible inherited sin cursed us 6000 years in the past, then we lived with dinosaurs, and so on...)
