I don't. I think people can have mental problems, but it's much better to, as my grandfather put it, look for horses instead of zebras when we hear hoofprints.

You really are not wanting an answer if I think the bible is complete, Yes it is completed to a Certain point, & Only THE BRIDE will see what was never written in those situarions, In Daniel God told Daniel o seal up those things until the end, There fore what David saw & heard was never written, God old John the Revelator the same thing to seal it up until the end time, & it all consisted within those 7 seals, If you have study the bible & chruch history, you cn see what the first 6 seals are pointing to, But that 7th seal ha not yet been opened Because is still on the mercy seat, when ll is redeemed that is writtn in that 7th seal. Christ comes of the mercy seat no longer as our mediator but as our King & he will declare time shall be no more, time for what, for the gentiles salvation, because Christ will be no longer a mediator, & only the BRIDE will know what those 7 Thunders will say.

Yes I do! Have you not read in the Bible where Jesus and Paul and others have cast demons out of people? I have also witnessed people delivered from demon possession. When Lucifer/Satan was cast out of Heaven, he took one-third of the angels with him. The Bible says these are now called demons. Belief in Ouija Boards and horoscopes, getting involved with the occult or witchcraft, illegal drugs - these can all result in making oneself vulnerable to demon-possession!

For many years, I worked in State of Ohio Psychiatric Hospitals. There were a few people with "multiple personality disorder," who would seem to fit the definition of "demon possession." There were also some who were once called "Psychopath," then "Sociopath," now called "antisocial personality disorder." Some people with this personality disorder can be very deceptive, sometimes even deceiving professionals in Psychiatry (e.g., that they suffer from "multiple personality disorder"). Although personality disorders can be treated, they are considered no more curable than, say, diabetes or certain types of cancer, etc. Nevertheless, I have known, and known of, persons with "multiple personality disorder," who at least *seem* to be cured - usually through deliverance from demon-possession!

Jesus spoke to the possessed person in the bible and asked for the name of the demon inside ,and the person said our names are many for we are legion... then Jesus commanded them out . so not only can someone have a demon inside them they can have more than one by this account!!but the good news is that the Holy spirit can inhabit within you,and a demon would never be able to posses one of Gods children, if one asks for forgiveness of there sins in Jesus name as Lord over sin and death the same shall be saved and have life eternal. i also agree with you that mostly what you see today is a manifestation of several factors mental illness, drug use, satan worship, occult practices and who knows what!!

It's a little bizarre to believe that a demon would randomly possess a human body. It has to be a severe mental illness that leads to such behavior. A family friend's niece supposedly was possessed and ended up committing suicide, but I highly doubt if a demon were to take over a body, they would cause them to commit suicide. I'm assuming she was extremely ill. I don't believe in it.

i asked this question a week or so ago and i wanted people to give me first ahnd experiences with details as to what exactly convinced them this was real (like levitation) No one was able to do this. I agree with you that this is mental illness/psychosis and the church uses the idea of demon possesion to further agend of control and also as a way to get out of taking responsibility for oneself. Recently watched a show where a grandfather molested his grandaughter and said that he had been possesed by a demon. What a crock!

No one has provided any evidence to support the existence of any demons. My college roomate thought I was a special demon placed by the devil to torment him. But that is just his wishful thinking.

If there no demons, there cannot be demonic possession.

Yes. Just as there are angels around, there are demons, the devil's fallen angels. They tell us to do bad things, and if someone is receptive, they can get into a person. You can have demons in you. I'm afraid that God is the only remedy. They cower in fear of Him.

It is, but it happens VERY rarely. Most people who think they are demonically possessed are really just unstable in one way or another.

Yes, there are occasional cases which defy modern medicine, which certainly LOOK like demonic possession. They're not common, and they usually are precipitated by dabbling with the supernatural, [ouija boards, for example] but they DO occur.

yes but not in the traditional way. i think he can come into and make us sin but i dont think the devil can take over a human body and use it unless it is someone like the anti christ and he doesnt get taken over by the devil until half way through the tribulation.
