why do so many young christian musicians form christian rock bands? seems sort of hypocritical if you ask me. is it just so they can appeal to more young people? isn't the truth enough? you don't see muslims coming out with muslim heavy metal.

What or who gave the Catholic Church the power to remove the first commandment and split the tenth commandment.

The First Commandment reads : Do not worship any other gods besides me.
The Tenth Commandment reads : Do not covet your neighbor´s house. Do not covet your neighbor´s wife, male or female servant, ox or donkey, or anything else your neighbor owns.

What the Catholic Church did was erase the first Commandment which says do not worship any other gods and split the tenth Commandment so there are two do not covet commandments.

I am just curious. I would like to know how the Catholic Church thinks. How they can change the word of God?

Issues such as homosexuality and abortion (murder) are condemned in the Bible, but applauded by Hollywood and liberals. Do you keep your mouth shut when the controversy is high?

I'm not saying to be hateful, but is there some point where Christians need to stand up and get involved for the truth of God's Word?

A rich woman named Christina had a heart attack and was taken to hospital.
While she was on the operating table, she had a near-death experience. She saw God and asked, "Is this it?"
God said, "No, you have another 30 to 40 years to live."

So, when she recovered, she decided to stay in the hospital and have collagen shots, cheek implants, a face lift, her nose reconstructed, liposuction and breast augmentation. She even had someone dye her hair.
She figured since she had another 30 to 40 years to live, she might as well make the most of it.

She walked out of the hospital front after the last operation and was killed by an ambulance speeding up to the hospital.

She arrived in front of God and said, "I thought you said I had another 30 to 40 years?"

God replied, "Christina! I didn't recognize you!"

If it truly means your life, the one given to us by God, shouldn't he be more direct. It's like a huge riddle he created for us to figure out before we die. Isn't symbolism more of a literary tool mostly used in fiction?

I recently saw an article on television on how Scientology as a religion is trying to make its way into Britain. It would seem they have several bizarre and unfounded beliefs which could be construed as cult-like in nature. Were you part of the Church of Scientology; and if so, what evidence do you have that they practice activities that are similar or cult-like. Open my mind . . . . is Scientology as a religion a viable option in comparison to others in mainstream society?

In my understanding, He is a merciful God when we are still living but when we die and meet him face to face, its all dealing with a fair judge. thats why they always urge us to repent before life is too short to regret.

Just something that has always bothered me. When clergymen are found to have abused children all the religious leaders higher up seem to have known about it and did nothing. Aren't these people supposedly 'chosen' by God? And if so what does this mean? That God condones it? Or doesn't God know? But isn't God supposed to know everything? I am not at all religious but this is not meant to offend people of faith, it is a genuine question.
