Dunno. Can't help it. :-D

Because the Bible says to do so at 1 Peter 4:8 ~ "Above all things, have intense love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins."

"Beloved ones, if this is how God loved us, then we are ourselves under obligation to love one another." ~ 1 John 4:11

Also, at John 13:34,35 Jesus said: "I am giving YOU a new commandment, that YOU love one another; just as I have loved YOU, that YOU also love one another. 35 By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.”

It's not something we could call optional; love isn't something we can practice only when it's convenient. Rather, the command from Jesus for his disciples to love one another is really a royal law, one that should influence all our actions. Hope I've helped.

Love often fails. Charity(perfect love) never fails.
Charity never fails is the greatest of three things.
Love often fails is great & greater; Not greatest.

POINT: "Charity" is neither of two "love"s in Mt 22.
"Grace" is neither of the two "law"s in Mt 22: 36 - 40.
Grace cannot lie(law) nor die(law). Law Law does both.
Grace neither tempts(laws) nor can be tempted(lawed).

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

I do not

I love those few that have special meaning in my life

I am indifferent to most of the rest of humanity

I hate those who seek to harm me or those I love

because love can turn the world upside down... and loving people with God's love is so powerful you can't even begin to imagine how much it can do... loving others is walking in Jesus' footsteps... so it brings advatage both to our lives and the lives of those we love...

There's plenty I love and plenty I don't. Some things in life require our angst.
