Of course you can: or at least I certainly can, maybe you wouldn't be able to....

I'm happy and fulfilled; I have good relationships with family and friends, I have a beautiful home and enjoy growing things and cooking and other pursuits, I have a loving and much loved partner, I have a daughter I adore and step-kids I love to bits, my job is okay (could do with a touch more fulfillment there) - why would I need God?

What's the point? The point is that life is what we make it - and I choose to make my life happy and fulfilling!

Excellent question. My answer is absolutely "yes" IF you maintain high values in every aspect of your life. For example, my parents never went to church. And not to brag, their values and level of honesty and integrity are far above many people who label themselves "religious."

Further, I would differentiate organized religion from God. They are not one in the same. Although the world's religions have done much good for the world, they can also be cruel in how they treat certain people outside of their sect. Just look at our country's president. He does not want gay/lesbians to included in the Hate Crimes Bill.

I believe that you can definitely be happy and fulfilled without organized religion--assuming you maintain your spirituality in your own way, and maintain a high level of integrity, compassion, understanding, and love for all.

No. Because no matter who we are, how we were brought up and what we now believe, we have all at one time asked ourselves whether there is a God, and what will happen to us when we die.
We have a need to feed ourselves, we know this because he get hungry; we have a need to sleep, we know this because we get tired; we also have a need to find the answers to the above questions.
People will go about it in all different ways. They may take a scientific approach, rush to their nearest church or sit down with a bible and pore over it. But whether we like it or not deep down in all of us we want to know the answer to these simple questions.

Yes. Anyone whose life is only fulfilling because of their religion should develop some hobbies or something.

Religion isn't neccesary for salvation, but how could you have a "happy and fulfilling life" without salvation?

I've been doing a great job of it so far - and plan to continue to. But then I look to myself and family and my chosen career to give me that happiness, not an amorphous being.

It would be like expecting the brownies to clean my house every day.
