The most basic human desire is to be happy in life isn't it regardless of what they believe?

Does it hurt you to see another person suffer?

For the most part we know each other more so than you might realize, we all know pain and suffering as well as happiness.

And no matter what you believe here on earth we are in it together and do depend on each other at some point in time.

Will we ever get past our own insecurities and realize the person in front of you has them too?

Jesus said, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for sabbath." in Luke 2:27. And in Exodus 20:10 says, "but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God." In Malachi 3:6 says, "For I am the Lord, I do not chage." In John 14:15 says, "If you love Me, keep My commandments." Even Peter said in Acts 6:29, "We ought to obey God, rather than men."

Fellows,

Why, when someone who isn't a believer asks a question regarding faith, do you use Bible verses immediately to make a point? If they are a non-believer, they won't believe in the Bible or any other religious text, so what is the point of STARTING with verses? This is a tactic that I think is somewhat ignorant- why debate using only quotes from something that they deem illogical? Why not first convince them to believe by other means, then, once they believe in the Bible, use verses to back things up?

Please clarify why you use verses on non-believers.

If god created the specis, why didnt God list the specis he created?
Id god created the plants why doesnt he list the plants?

Are catholics the only people who pray to Saints? My catholic friend taught me how to pray to a couple of saints, and believe. But I don't agree with all of their beliefs. Do any other religions pray to saints?

I don't follow/believe in being gay so I don't hangout in the gay section. I have no desire to learn about it or belittle them about it, so I don't go there. So why do Atheist hangout in the religious section if it's of no interest to them?

religion was originally created so we could have an explantation for things we couldn't explain, like lighting and earthquakes and the sun rising and setting. we now have explanations for all of these things wouldn't that make religion obsolete?

Is Hinduism is going to be the next religion like romans and greeks, Christianity is going to over take it in may be next 100 yrs.
If Dalits and the Untouchables are allowed to the mandirs and community proggrams some help may be done.
Is ISKON is doing some thing in this way (specially for Gaura)
Even today in Puri we have this board saying non-hindus and untouchables and dogs are not allowed. Is it making any good to Hinduism.
Till Today the suppressed had no chance so they were with hinduism but today they have option, coz they need to pray and say to the god.
Wat can be done in this context.
And how to protect Hinduism from this silent invasion.

So, my question is "why do scientists believe in religion", "why do Bsc students go to church's and temples ect", "why do people that believe in science, believe in god (of any religion)".

Lastly, if we take the example of Christianity, this requires you to believe solely in god. However, so called believers are happy to receive medical treatment, scientific advice and believe the scientific reports that the world is facing a 'global worming crisis'.

Doesn't this go against the religious beliefs and that you should put your life in god’s hands and let him guide you.
