We are taught to not blame or punish others for our mistakes, yet we are being punished because Adam ate the apple. It's the SERpents fault, it spoke! I'd like to see one talking!! LOL. Did all animals talk?? If rivers could be turned into blood and a loaf of bread feed many and all those other "proposed" miracles, then God should have fixed the problems "HE" CREATED without torturing an innocent man, especially his own son! God is fair and good, yet millions of people suffer horrible atrocities because some thousands of years ago, someone ate a damn apple!! Sheeeesh!! What a fable!!

It would be interesting to know what happened during the Messiah's teenaged years. Unfortunately, the Bible seems to contain scant information in this area.

Are there other documents which might help? (Dead Sea Scrolls, etc..)

proclaiming there selfless acts to the world and touting how much they help the less fortunate when they have never ever done anything for anyone without a price. A few examples, back in the day I did alot of drugs. When I started trying to get my **** in order I went to teen challenge. After two weeks in the program I was told to accept christ, pretend to accept christ, or leave. I left. Missionaries are continually doing this type of work. "I will feed you if you believe." Even the religion itself comes under threat. Believe or I will torture you forever.

How can this be a religion of love or peace with such beliefs and tactics?

I believe that He was bearing the sins of the world in His humanity, so that sin did not compromise His righteousness.
I believe He was saying "My God."(God the Father), "My God."(God the Holy Spirit). That He was separated from deity for a moment in time (spiritual death) in order that we would never be separated.

this is a very serious question and i'm asking this because i'm curious to see how you would justify this....every time a heinous act is done in the name of christianity,e.g.burning down Buddhists templeshttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20070512003226AARF8l9&r=w#OJsuJlXACErF1eQD_WqJ is an example,and there are many more----christians always say "they can't be true christians".......

yet,every time some chaos happens in another country which is not christian,for example the war in sri lanka (i'm not justifying it,but there ARE reasons for us to want to vanquish the terrorist group) christians are quick to blame the other religion,in this case it was Buddhism and the comments were "this is what happens when a country has not been touched by God" etc etc

why is this double standard? if you say those crimes cannot be done by "true christians" then why do you blame another religion as a WHOLE when some people of that religion do something wrong?

in the movie he was going to the church to ask Jesus to murder a man. Also wasn't Eddie supose to confess to a guy, because in Catholic beliefs none popes or rabis can talk to God, unlike protestants we can talk to God through ourselves not through humans who think they are so holy.

In John 8:12 Jesus says, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in dark but shall have the light of life.

Here is a slight problem that arises to some, of which, they see as a contradiction when reading Matthew 5:14.

Jesus says to the disciples; Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Skeptics question, how can Jesus be the light of the world and the disciples as well?

I have a better idea.
Why don't you study all major religions in this world, Christian, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism and Hinduism and after that choose which religious teaching can convince you that God actually exist and there is actually heaven and hell.

does anyone honestly believe they can read something that convinces them there is a God.......is no one willing to do the footwork anymore? is this a reflection of our fastfood mentality?
