The whole verse says, "But God demonstrates his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

how can the OT be irrelevant when u can find this in matthew which is in the NT:

5:17 Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. 18 I tell you the truth, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. 19 Anyone who breaks one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. 20 For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

did jesus say the NT is not relevant?? where? which verse? which chapter? or did the priests say so? if they did, did jesus thell them to tell the people that the OT is not relevant?????

COME TO ME EARLY

Our Days on this earth
are only a few.
Like a drop in the ocean
so bright and so blue.

In our youth we look to the future
with dreams that's so bright.
Not really realizing
God keeps us always in sight.

He guides our path
with such a gentle hand.
Gives us the courage we need
to take our stand.

We shove that little voice aside
and say - "I have plenty of time."
God with His gentle patience says
"I'll wait - I don't mind."

As time slides on
and we daily stray,
God's gentle voice says
That's O.K. - I'll have my day."

When His hand
constantly brings us in line,
We look back and say
"I've wasted so much time."

Come to Me early
Our God pleads.
I have for you to plant
Many, Many seeds.

... from radical, Nazi right to kooky, tree hugging left and every other possible worldview in between. Why then do self proclaimed Aetheists and Progressives refer to this widely diverse population as some sort of monolithic group of identically minded automatons of the most extreme conservative viewpoint possibly espoused?

(i.e "christians think X", "You christians always do Y", etc.)

People ask about evolution well what was before that and before that, Well what was before god. And don't give me some bullshit about him being allpowerfull and nothing was before him, There is always something before sometihg. Also how was god created. He was not just there something must have created him. Before you answer that he was just there ask yourself, "What about before that?"

Other than the lack of sleep thing?

For me it really has brought home what it means to extend grace to a being and the desire to extend grace. It has also totally reaffirmed to me that the god of the Bible is a heinous monster.

I have 2 poems I want to enter in my schools poetic pogram which one is better?

RoseBud
It is only a tiny rosebud,
A flower of God's design;
But I cannot unfold the petals
With these clumsy hands of mine.
The secret of unfolding flowers
Is not known to such as I.
GOD opens this flower so sweetly,
When in my hands they fade and die.
If I cannot unfold a rosebud,
This flower of God's design,
Then how can I think I have wisdom
To unfold this life of mine?
So I'll trust in Him for His leading
Each moment of every day.
I will look to him for His guidance
Each step of the pilgrim way.
The pathway that lies before me,
Only my Heavenly Father knows.
I'll trust Him to unfold the moments,
Just as He unfolds the rose.

Tongues

We speak in tongues

Of different flavors

We build our societies

On each others labor

We are dark or light

And rich or poor

We worship different gods

And kneel on the floor

We killed our cousins

Because of their skin

We saw that without

And ignore that within

But regardless we sleep

Regardless we cry

Regardless we leap

And regardless we die

Take a less from Death

Treat all the same

Learn from Death

To remain humane

If, as some Christians have told me, the Bible is meant to be the rulebook for how to live and worship God for all of the people on Earth, why did God not simply send Bibles down from heaven, perfectly translated into every language, with perfectly clear messages that no one could argue about? I mean, God would be capable right? So why did he do it half-a**?

In my experience, after being reborn in the Holy Spirit, scripture suddenly becomes clear and more meaningful. What then is the purpose of analyzing the Word of God through a scientific lens, if all you need is the Holy Spirit?

I know I was when I was in my teens, It used to freak me out, the thought of nothing, as I didn't believe in God then and I was an atheist in my thinking of death as the end, thats it, zilch, nothing.

When I turned to the Lord in my early twenties the fear of dying left in an instant that I became born again. I just wondered have you had the same experience.

Christians and others do you pray in the car going to work or where ever in the morning? Can this be considered your morning prayer. I enjoy my time alone with GOD in the car. Of course I cant close my eyes but I can open my heart. I get alot out of it. I put on a Christian radio station or a CD and my spirit is lifted. Does anyone else do this?
