Christian Arab Women

If they live in Arab, Middle Eastern countries they most likely do cover their hair. Some places like Iraq now the Christian women do not all cover their hair and they dress. When I was stationed at the US Military complex at Baghdad last summer there were Iraqi women who did not dress with the local culture and dressed with modern blue geans and such but they were rare. I think it all depends on the Nation and Culture. Now in the Islamic Nation of Pakistan I would say the Christian woman (if there are any) do cover their heads.

Some do when they go to Church or holy events like weddings, masses and funerals.

Think, the Virgin Mary always covered her hair. In visions she has her hair covered. And, even today, in temporary Christian art she has her head covered.

Most people do not know this, but Mary is the holiest women in Islam. I have heard, but cannot confirm, that wearing a hijab was started as a way for women to be more Mary-like. She was respected for being the holy-virgin and mother of Christ. Her hair and physical attributes were irrelevant.

The Arab woman cover their eyes and mouth. The Muslim woman don't have to cover their face but they do cover everything else like the Arab women.I know that they cover themselves because their supposed to sympolize the earth. And since the earth is 75% covered by water they must also be covered 75%.

In the 13th century covering your head was the fashion. Look at medieval paintings, it was done throughout Europe. (Funny thing is in Hollywood movies this fashion is omitted).

Fashions change, many middle eastern muslims women don't cover their head. Some christians do. Especially for religious ceremonies. Not that long ago, no man or woman would go to church in western countries, without wearing a hat.

Nope.
But I've seen some old Christian Arab women that wear a scarf.
I've also seen old French women wear scarves as well :D
But not for the same reason as Muslim women. :D

No, because I was living in a country where both covered and it is quite different. The style of how to wear the scarf makes it different.
Christian women expose the neck whereas Muslim women do not---in most cases.

It is not neccesarily required of them though some christian woman of any ethnicity cover their hair due to a passage in the bible.

Anyhow, I suppose it would depend on where they live and the culture in their area.

They don't have the requirement to do so, but sometimes they culturally choose to, because that is the in thing to do. Just like American Women wearing pants.
