I would say so, and that's why you need to make sure what you are being taught is correct...

2 Corinthians 11:14-15
14 And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light. 15 It is therefore nothing great if his ministers also keep transforming themselves into ministers of righteousness. But their end shall be according to their works.

1 Timothy 4:1-3
However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, 2 by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron; 3 forbidding to marry, commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth.

Dear Mochi,

Any person or being can be possessed by a demon unless they have God's Holy Spirit living inside of them. The Bible says that light can not dwell with darkness. When a person accepts Jesus the Holy Spirit dwells inside the heart of the believer.

Believers are still susceptible to demonic attack, but not demonic possession.

So it would depend on what that priest, nun, or pope believed about Jesus.

Hope that helps. Kindly,

Nickster

If they are not filled with the spirit of God then definitely...but I would hope if a catholic has gotten that far into their faith to be a priest, pope or nun that somewhere along the line they invited Christ into their hearts as lord and Savior

Absolutely. Unless they are lexs human than anyone else.

However, the likelihood of someone who keeps his mind constantly on the things of God being possessed is slim. Since we all know that God is more powerful than Satan.

But does just being a priest, nun, etc. save you - NO INDEED.

Since the originals of "Exorcisms" and whatnot were the first notion of the Catholic church, extensions of that being demons, posession etcetera, there is no law anywhere that says no onw is free of harm from posession, as demons are refutably said to not care about who or what a person is so long as they use it to their own advantage.

Anyone can be possessed. That is why we need the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. Demons flee where the Holy Spirit resides.

Blessings to you.

Of course - demonic possession is just a church term for schizophrenia. Some schizophrenics hear god, too (which explains that phenomenon, as well, yes).

Yes

In reality, there are no such things as demoniac possession. Schizophrenia on the other hand is often a cause of religious superstition.

according to christian theology the answer to that question would not only be a big fat YES but in fact they are the MOST susceptible to such things, according to there theology the closer you are to god the more of a "target" you are for evil things, they have much more to gain by corrupting or hurting someone who is very close to god and very good then they would just any ole guy or girl out there. sorta like it would be better to shoot the son of an enemy ruler in a war then it would be to just shoot some random soldier.
