in the movie he was going to the church to ask Jesus to murder a man. Also wasn't Eddie supose to confess to a guy, because in Catholic beliefs none popes or rabis can talk to God, unlike protestants we can talk to God through ourselves not through humans who think they are so holy.

First, it was just a scene in a movie
Second, I don't know if he's Catholic I haven't seen the movie yet.
Third, Asking Jesus to kill Peter was wrong of him to do no matter what religion he was, and it isn't exactly a prayer that's going to get answered.
Fourth, it doesn't sound like he was confessing, just that he was praying. The purpose of a confession is to be relieved of your sins and forgiven for them.
Finally, your perspective on Catholics is warped. We believe that everyone can talk to God, this is prayer. Sacraments are generally performed by priests and the sacrament of reconciliation (aka confession) is one of them.

P.S. There's one Pope and Rabbi is a Jewish term. Catholics have priests, bishops, archbishops, cardinals, and the Pope. It's more complex than that, but that's the basic hierarchy.
