Why isn't there a verse that says:
" If a woman lied with womankind as she lies with a mankind it is an abomination, their blood shall be upon them"
Or do the authors of the bible (Probably straight men) like lesbian women and hate gay guys?

I had a totally different outlook on ppl before I came here. I thought surely well educated compassionate people in this world think like I do, that all humans deserve respect. Boy was I wrong. I have actually become MORE prejudice against Christianity and I sincerly wanted to lessen it. There is so much judgement and pressure and just down right disrespect! And I wonder is this place eeking out the faith I have in humans? Is it doing it to you? Go ahead. Send me to hell. I am beyond the threats at this point. I have heard them all.

Yesterday, the House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Local Law Enforcement Hate Crimes Prevention Act, a bill that promises to extend protection from violent or discriminatory acts of hate to gay and lesbian Americans.

In a shocking turn of events, even for this administration, President Bush has threatened to veto this anti-hate bill. With the overwhelming congressional and public support for this legislation, many are asking who the President could possibly be serving with such a commitment; the answer unfortunately is the religious right.

Over the last few months the religious right has waged a deceptive campaign opposing this pro-equality legislation.

Ok, on my last question, it was a sincere question and some wondering. And for those who said I'm "just like all muslim women, ignorant and uneducaed", you should know I'm a college grad, graduating with honors, having a 4.0 GPA and in good standing with the college, which is basically the same in my entire academic history. I've also studied Islam for 10 years, and nowhere in that question was my religion mentioned. It seemed like you didn't want to think and give actual answers and only wanted to target somebody due to having severe superiority complexes. You claim all muslim women are so oppressed and can never use a computer, well HELLO, I'm definately a woman (with the c section scar to prove it) and I definately own one of the latest computers with RoadRunner. What kind of people are you? Do you just like to hate, or is reasoning beyond your capacity?

Can you agree that there is something greater than our current percerption of the universe. Not necessarily a conscious being, but something beyond our what our current limitations of technology can answer. For instance the possibility of alternate universes, or a greater connection of all energy and matter than we realize.

I just want to make sure in the stubborness of "there is no God" that you leave open the almost obvious signs that there is more than meets the eye to, well for lack of a better word, everything.

This is probably going to sound extraordinarily conceded and what not, but i have to ask. at many times I feel in a state that, from what i have learned, is the definition of buddhist enlightenment or nirvana, but i am a very inexpeirenced buddhist and i have only recently made the choice to become one after i have gone through a very long spiritual journey, without buddhism. essentially, i am wondering if nirvana is something common or if it is only of historical figures and if it is possible that mabye i iam in or approaching such enlightenment. once again, this is really just how i feel and i am trying very hard not to come across as a cocky kind of person.

I would want to know more about the Trinity itself, I know what it is composed of but I dont understand the depth of it and as a Roman Catholic i want to know more about them. John 14:12-14: "Verily, verily I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask anything in my name, I will do it."

This is the “WORD OF GOD”. Either it's the truth, or it's a lie. These are the words of JESUS CHRIST the SON OF GOD. And “He that believeth on me” is every believer. I am not one to take things out of context, but I don't see any exceptions here. I don't see any excuses. I don't see any man made theology here.

How can I prove to people my GOD wants to make a difference in their life if when I pray for people, nothing happens?
