Someone please concur and comment on the name of G-d in its orginal form in the first part of the torah, whereby looking at the letters you can see "man g-d woman", removing g-d from the letter sequence results in letters that represent "fire"

Christians and muslims are dumb because they base their belief on faith, which means, do not question , just follow what is written in the book . The church and mullahs has to say that because otherwise, the Bible or the koran becomes a crock, with many inconsistencies and many things that simply do not make sense.

So they stay dumb and traditional for another couple of years?

When I was a child, the prayer I said at night was this:

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the lord my soul to keep.
And if I die before I wake,
I pray the lord my soul to take.
God bless (etc etc etc)
Amen.

WHY would people make children say such a horrible, HORRIBLE thing??? "If I die before I wake". That's terrible!!

I have in mind the burning times... the inquisition, where witchcraft became a crime punishable by death.
Do you think it would last?
Use percentages in your answer please...eg 80% of christians would stand firm... or 10% would keep it secret, or 99% would turn away etc...

This is one of the things I find really strange in the bible. The God who created everything and is "LOVE" (yeah.....right), wants all these poor dudes in ancient times to grab, not just any lamb, but their best lamb, and kill it in his name, and waste it by burning it on a altar.

What's God going to gain out of that?

Is it insecurity and the need for attention?

In the old testament, he wanted everyone to slaughter lambs and waste the meat by burning it.

Now it seems he's more interested in cash donations to his various churches, and he seems to want some of his representatives here to have more wealth than others.

Does this mean God's become an economic rationalist?

What was the first thing you did today when you woke up? For the religious, did you thank God that you were given the chance to live another day? I am religious, and I thank God for everyday that I wake up and for everyday my children wake up. Some people are not so lucky, and I realize this in daily life.
