Ok, on my last question, it was a sincere question and some wondering. And for those who said I'm "just like all muslim women, ignorant and uneducaed", you should know I'm a college grad, graduating with honors, having a 4.0 GPA and in good standing with the college, which is basically the same in my entire academic history. I've also studied Islam for 10 years, and nowhere in that question was my religion mentioned. It seemed like you didn't want to think and give actual answers and only wanted to target somebody due to having severe superiority complexes. You claim all muslim women are so oppressed and can never use a computer, well HELLO, I'm definately a woman (with the c section scar to prove it) and I definately own one of the latest computers with RoadRunner. What kind of people are you? Do you just like to hate, or is reasoning beyond your capacity?

Don't let it get to you what people on here say...I'm a Muslimah also and I'm in med. school right now. I answer some questions truthfully and if the question is about Islam, I always get thumbs down because the true ignorant people are just very closed minded and think that they are superior. They ask questions, not because they want to know the answer, but because they want to criticize and you never know who is being sincere with wanting to really learn about Islam, and who is just being hateful. They will do anything they can to put others down. And about the 'muslim women being ignorant and uneducated'...many Muslim women have better educations than most other countries in the world because 1.) they are separated from boys in school and 2.) Many Muslim countries are rich (due to oil) so even college education is free.

I agree with you sis. I graduated high school twice once in 11th grade and once in 12th grade. Socially in 11th and academically in 12th. I got a 3.6 GPA and got a 30 on my ACT test. I graduated in the top 50 in my senior class of a class of 200 students. I got my education in America and worked hard to graduate in 11th grade. I finished my American History class before everyone else and was taking Geography my second semester of 11th grade. I had all my schooling in USA and just because I didn't go to college doesn't mean I'm ignorant and uneducated. These people who say things about Muslim women are just buying into the media hype. Don't let it get to you. I graduated in 05 socially and 06 academically. I got mostly A's and B's from 9th-12th grade.

Well Ali; EGYPT had Hoda Shaarawi, Nabaweya Moussa, and Bint Al Shatee'e as great educated women, while you were doing it in ur pants you know. Women in Egypt study, go to the college, and become judges and senators.

No one claims that muslim women are ignorant and uneducated. Muslim women are just like any other women. Do you think you are the only woman who has a 4.0 GPA?
However, people here are fed up of the religion of islam. This religion has brought more damage to the world than any other religion. You are although a muslim, but like most muslims, are ignorant of their own faith. You say you studied islam for 10 years? Where did you get your islamic education from and what are your islamic sources? Have you read Ibn Ishaq Sira, the only biography of Muhammad? Have you read the various Sahih Hadiths, Bukhrai, Tabari, Muslim, Abu Dawud, etc? Have you read the Quran? Have you been to islamic countries like Saudi Arabia, Eygpt?
We don't like to hate, we just want the world to be in peace and for that to happen, people must abandon the islamic faith, because this religion in its purest sense is hateful and separatist.
Lawrence: Did I ever dispute that? I said before, Muslim women are just like any other women out there. Did you read what I said?

It is to be expected--people love stereo types. I'm Mormon, I get all kinds of stereo types, heck even from people who know me and know I don't ft them. I just ignore for I know the truth and that's the only real important thing. I would say people in general are just un-educated and just like to believe what they are told instead of finding out the truth, who needs facts when rumors are so much easier to believe.

Where do you live? Do you live in a predominantly Muslim country, like Pakistan or Afghanistan? If so, then I don't believe you.

There are different forms of ignorant and it sounds like the people who said those things to you are pretty ignorant.
I will tell you all what I tell my kids. "You don't have to LIKE it. You just have to RESPECT it." If someone wants to be muslim more power to them.
