Can you agree that there is something greater than our current percerption of the universe. Not necessarily a conscious being, but something beyond our what our current limitations of technology can answer. For instance the possibility of alternate universes, or a greater connection of all energy and matter than we realize.

I just want to make sure in the stubborness of "there is no God" that you leave open the almost obvious signs that there is more than meets the eye to, well for lack of a better word, everything.

Keep assuming I'm Christian.

And "there is no God" is just as stubborn as "there is a God" or "my God is the only real God."

That there may be other universes, yes, as to the other drivel, no! Why must you insist we believe that there is some greater being out there that created everything. If that being existed, it would have shown itself by now, and it would be insane. The energy that created ouruniverse has existed for trillions upon trillions of eons and I can guarantee you that there has been and is more intelligent life than humans otut there somewhere, and its no god.

Yes, I can agree that there is something greater than our current perception of the Universe. The Universe itself is greater than our current perception of the Universe.

Why do you need to apply personality to that, and then tack on the tribal myths of ignorant farmers 2000 years ago?

Why would you take an answer of "we don't know everything" to mean "anything is equally possible and probable"?

I would agree there are things about this universe we do not know yet, and things which we may never know, however that lack of knowing does not in anyway signify any kind of god. That is the kind of reasoning our earlier ancestors used...i.e. if we do not understand something it must be god......I can state with total confidence that 'There is no such thing as a god."

Though I consider myself mostly atheist, I do belive that there is something about life that we dont understand yet, though I have more of a native american view of it. Something along the lines of each person and animal having a spirit. I also think that some physical locations have some sort of energy in a way. *Shrug*

I am an atheist. I cannot agree with certainty that there is anything without evidence to support its existence. There is always the possibility (with varying probabilities depending on what you claim), but I would not claim that as a certainty as you have alleged.

Yes, since we as humans can't possibly know everything about the universe.

How is "there is no God" being stubborn?

Wow, could you ask a less meaningful question, even if you tried? No, I think that you hit the bottom of the barrel.

There are things we do not see, yes. There are things we do not know about, yes. I don't know how to classify them as "greater" because I cannot see them and I do not know about them.

These are natural phenomenon that will be explained by SCIENCE and not by RELIGION.

Yes, we don't know everything... yet.

And, the fact remains - there is no god.
