1) Can't they come up with any new ones?
2) Why do atheists who whine about Christians cutting and pasting remain silent when fellow atheists do the same?
3) Aren't they being as much sheep as they claim that Christians are if they blindly accept someone telling them that they are contradictions without researching them themselves?
4) Have they not heard of "search engines" and "the Internet" which make research easily available?
5) If they must repeat these lists ad nauseum, can't they at least show why they think attempts to reconcile the alleged contradictions are invalid?
6) Do they really think that many of us Christians haven't already seen such lists and don't greet the millionth or so reiteration with anything but boredom?
7) Are they really trying to search for the truth or are they merely trying to score cheap debating points?

When faced with the choice of knowledge or life...

Why is it that we are prone to seek knowledge over experiencing life?

Who has gone from atheist to christian, or christian to atheist? What made you change your mind? And I don't mean because of the R&S section, I mean in life in general.

Do you honestly feel that they are trolling? Do you honestly feel that they are trying to get you to stop believing the way that you do? Can't they simply be asking a genuine question or do you feel that any and all non Christians are out to insult you? Can't a person just be asking a well thought out question and looking for a well thought out response in return? Or are some of you so defensive in your beliefs that you feel the need to lash out and attack others who don't feel the same way as you do? The link to my last question is right there.

I've seen an increase in businesses that have crosses or fish on their signs. What, exactly, is this intended to do? Is it to encourage Christians to do business there? These aren't places like Christian bookstores and such. That makes sense. They're like laundromats, credit counseling agencies, etc. Businesses that have nothing to do with religion.

As a non-Christian, I'm immediately turned off by things like that. Is that the intention? Do the owners wish to avoid doing business with non-Christians? If that's the case, it's certainly working with me.

Could someone explain this to me, please? I honestly don't get it. But I get a bad vibe from it.

In the United States, marriage is considered a life long commitment. Do such commitments have any validity in Buddhism? Why commit in the first place if life is lived one moment at a time? (Note: I am sincerely asking a question that I don't know the answer to. Any opinions derrived from the question are strictly those of the reader).

I mean with all the possible configuration permutations, HOW ON EARTH did they get it right when they designed it?

It would take a monkey 3.7 zillion years to randomly arrange the keyboard to the correct "qwerty" layout, yet some humans got it right in like a year or something!

HOGWASH, I say! No monkey or his uncle could ever do that! And we didn't come from monkeys!

Doesn't this PROVE the existence of an intelligent creator?

With all the new technology being developed, we will soon be able to create a new version of humanity. Examples would be neuro-computer interfaces, bio-electric energy created by solar power, ending the aging process, and an extremely durable exoskeletion. What enhancements or alterations do you think would be most important?

somebody (i won't mention names) sent me this email:

Message: HELLO, i am sorry that you think i hate muslims, i dont hate them or anyone. what i hate is the awful crimes against humankind lately. I believe many are kind hearted, and good, and yet i have been told that the koran tells muslims to murder non believers of islam. why is that? i would like to understand. honestly, but i feel islam will take over the u.s. and murder all who are not believers.
why cant you become a christian. it is so much easier. you are assured heaven by belief in Jesus as your saviour and then there is not so much work and praying and fasting out of religious rules. then you can pray and fast when and if you want to. Jesus died on the cross for us all. muslims believe the angels took him to heaven before death. that is not true. He is the Son of the Most High God. believe in him and you WILL be in heaven one day. and you people have to stop blowing yourselves up. that is suicide which God hates.

What if they don't believe that Jesus Christ walked on water or turned water into wine or healed people simply by touching them, or that there was a talking snake or serpent as some like to say, or that Jonah was in a whale for three days, or that Jesus didn't die for our sins and instead was sentenced to death simply because the Roman empire thought that he was a threat? Is any of those things blasphemous? Is that a one way ticket straight to hell? So now what happens?

If your respected Holy Book is right in general about what it talks about, but is not "without error", would this be damaging to your religious/personal belief system?

Are the general facts enough? Can your faith stand on it's own or does it need "inerrent" writtings?

And please, no "it says it's without error, so, therefore it is." answers. that's just a dog chasing it's tail.

May the sun shine warm upon your face,

Do any of you Christians know what I am talking about? I want to be used but I have gone through such a terrible disappointment. It is of my own making in a way but I didn't create the set up that is for sure. I have gone through so many horrible things in my life and maybe that is why I was tired of not being happy. Now I am really suffering because I feel that I will have to be about 78 years old to be a woman again. Yes I am a whiny baby I guess. I need deliverance. I have had it before but how can you cast out love? Just plain love?

Hi,
I am a former Roman Catholic turned general christian. I never believed that the earth was created in 7 days or that Adam and Eve really existed, but this is a serious offense to the R.C.'s. Then I heard Jewish comedian Lewis Black talk about how various Christian Denominations often do sermons on the Torah and that their interpritations are usually wrong. And he mentioned Adam and Eve and the world's creation as an example. He said that to Jewish people the story was created for inspiration and having a moral message but not to be taken literally. Is this true? Jewish people don't believe literally in the book of genesis?
