Wow, do I wish I had an answer. That's one of my life goals: to unmake as many Christians as possible. What I've come to realize is that as much as I may not want to admit it, religion serves an undeniable purpose. It gives people a false sense of security: that they're lives are being watched over and in the hands of someone else, who is all powerful and loving. Who doesn't want to believe that? It also ties people to the feeling of something greater, and to each other as a community through church and ritual. It also seems that another major problem we face is that people tend to believe whatever makes them feel happiest, without ever considering a non biased, logical point of view. I think the question is not how to "enlighten" the Christians, as I don't think they're capable of enlightenment. I think the question is how to fulfill these needs that religion fulfills, how to give the religious community they're fix, and yet take God out of the equation. This is where I get stuck, but I'm determined to find a way to do this. Maybe you can help me. We'll free humanities minds, so to speak, and move humanity to a greater, freer-thinking future.

How can you enlighten people who have already been where you are? We obviously saw light elsewhere and decided that we'd been in the dark long enough. Time for you to look for some light. But if you want to keep trying, I'm not against people beating their heads against the wall. Once again, that word freewill pops up.

Enlighten Christians about what, reality? Your reality or their reality? Do you get to choose for them? Anyway, what is reality? Do you know?

Coming up with an interesting argument would be a start. Take a break from trolling and search the Internet Infidels site.

Quit trying. People will look for reasons to justify their beliefs. I doubt there's such a thing as an impartial person in this world.

How about reading The Bible, accept Jesus as Your Savior, ask God to forgive your sins and total repentance, then become a pastor, you will enjoy enlightening Christians then. I'll be praying for you

Sure. Define reality. Once you have a clear definition of what reality is without being disrespectful, I will see what happens in my own life. do we have a deal?
