Because we all know that there's NO sex after marriage, don't we?

So shouldn't we just be saying "sex", since by definition if it occurs it's going to occur BEFORE marriage?

Apparently the "Holy Spirit" is God's guiding force on Earth, but darn it all if I don't know what the heck that entails.

Please be specific. Don't just say "the spirit guides us" or "just look it up on Wikipedia". I actually do want to know. It's always puzzled me.

Explain WHAT the Holy Spirit does and HOW the Holy Spirit does whatever it does.

I've seen that in the R&S section before & this surprises me. For a country that's all about "liberty" this seems a very archaic trait!

the Lamb"; but *anyone* is welcome to take a shot at answering it: Which of you actually believe that members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, AKA: Mormons, are Christians? I was appalled by a caller on Rush Limbaugh's program today, who said she thought they *were*, because in the front of their version of a "bible" - the Book of Mormon, it was stated that this was *another* "gospel" of Jesus Christ. My Bible states: "I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book." Revelation, 22:18,19 (NIV)

Is it even important that theists realize God DIDN'T make medicine, cell phones, airplanes, laws, dogs, plastic, and beer? As long as they're happy, y'know?

If Jesus and his disciples didn't ask for money, why does every church and evangelist ask for money?

Matt 6:24-34?

"No man can serve two masters ... Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye sahll drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the meat, and the body than raiment?
"Behold the fowls of the air; for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?
"Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?
"And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:
"Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? ..."

"Our Father, who art in heaven...give us this day our daily bread..."

I wonder why this great parable wasn't in the Bible?

Obviously, it wouldn't have to say moccassins...but, possibly in your sandals. :-)

Seriously, why do so many fundamentalists pass judgement on so many, based on their opinion of scriptures...they don't know what they have walked...likewise, had the fundamentalist been born into a different home...what path may he be on now?

And the Muslims and Jews both believe in the same God, and neither believe in the Divinity of Jesus:

Why did Muhammad like the Christians more, (The people of the Book)

Why do the Jews and Christians get along (mostly)

I am a Christian and I am NOT saying that we are Polytheists we believe in one God.

But Just wondering, you would think that the Muslims AND the Jews would hate the Christians more than anyone else?????

Or could it be that Muhammad understood the Trinity but just did not agree with it? Most Muslims on here claim that they cannot begin to understand it.
