To brainwash children into a religion? Surely they should have the right to choose when they are old enough to understand.

If we came from primates, the at what point along the evolution timeline should primates be declared people?? Should they have human rights? Should they go to the vet or doc. ?

Activists want chimp declared a 'person'
VIENNA, Austria - In some ways, Hiasl is like any other Viennese: He indulges a weakness for pastry, likes to paint and enjoys chilling out watching TV. But he doesn't care for coffee, and he isn't actually a person — at least not yet.

Just think there would be no more arguments , no mre athiets with their silly views on creation, no more wars and everything would be consumed by Jesus' divine love. I expect the very idea would bug a lot of people but not me. I am a knight of the old code.

The literal translation from ancient Aramaic of the word virgin is just "young woman." Nothing more, nothing less. The vast likelihood is that Mary had just as much sex as anyone else. This is a huge misconception based on a simple translation error. Why hasn't this been noticed or corrected by anyone???

We all know Genesis 1 from the KJV bible:

1In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

2And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

However, from Young's Literal Translation we have:

1In the beginning of God's preparing the heavens and the earth --

2the earth hath existed waste and void, and darkness [is] on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God fluttering on the face of the waters,

This seems to imply that Verse 1 is a summary of the rest of the chapter and that Verse 2 is the kick off.

Does this mean that the Earth and the waters were already there before God came along? If so, who created them?

I know that in religious terms, suicide is a terrible thing which results in your soul going to hell. Does that mean that doing things like "living on the edge", smoking, drinking, and even getting in your car every morning, which increase the chances of death, are considered forms of suicide? If not, then where do we draw the line between suicide and simply living life?

If you post a question in a section entitled Religion and Spirituality, you get 37 hateful, answers that try to impose the authors belief on a Christian. How can an atheist say that Christians impose their belief, when that's all they're spouting out in OUR section. If Christians were in an Atheist section spouting out their beliefs, then I could understand their point.

If we were alll floating around in a void at the beginning it would have benn impossible for us to be created. Thus the hydrogen that caused it all must have been made by something. Thus not only did God create all but he pre programmed the whole thing so that in the end I could bug the athiests. Long live Jesus

I'm agnostic, and it is so annoying. You'll be like debating with someone and they will just be like , " Oh are you an atheist or something." I'll just be like no I'm agnostic. I just hate that. If some one has something to say or is trying to prove something, they should make sure they have the facts before they start making accusations. =(

Recognizing the diversity within paganism of course; I'm aware it is not monolithic. But even in it's loosely-structured form do you believe paganism will be restored - achieve a major come-back so to speak, and if so by what means? Please don't tell me you're going to use television to evangelize! But seriously...how?
