If you post a question in a section entitled Religion and Spirituality, you get 37 hateful, answers that try to impose the authors belief on a Christian. How can an atheist say that Christians impose their belief, when that's all they're spouting out in OUR section. If Christians were in an Atheist section spouting out their beliefs, then I could understand their point.

You're a bunch of bully hypocrites. No of you can answer the question.

Read the question. I never said it was a Christain section. I specifically stated the R and S section. I had to use Christianity as an example because atheists are too afraid to make fun of any other religion.

Would you people please readd the question carefully. I guess all this "thinking for yourself" has got your brain tied up. Try and multitask and actually answer the question.

Atheists impose their views on Christians because Christianity is the one congruent "ideology" for which there is no satisfactory "scientific" explanation. In other words, so-called intellectuals don't know what to do with it because Christianity itself has legitimately baffled every serious intellectual critic who has tried to disprove it. It is guided by a book that they can't explain, and has adherents from every walk of life and every country who have historically found Christianity true enough to do anything from finding an extremely fulfilling life to suffering and dying for it. Christianity can't be extinguished. Unlike Darwinism, and other pseudo-intellectual paradigms, which have to change a major pillar of their dogma every 2-5 years, the Bible has remained constant and unchangeable and continually grows more and more difficult to disprove with the advent of each new empirical scientific discovery. That is why atheism has to be so emotionally flamboyant, and must rely on anecdotal and ad-hominem arguments: because there is no scientifically or intellectually viable argument for atheism. Atheism and Evolution have become the Catholic Church for the new dark ages. They hinder progressive thought and true scientific research.
So why to they haggle Christians so much? Because they are insecure and they're panicking. What they believe is quickly falling apart, and since there's nothing to bolster their beliefs, they attack the beliefs of others.

Religion & Spirituality are not all Christian concept. If you take for an example that Religion is mankinds efforts to reach God. Whereas, Christianity is God's efforts to reach mankind - Through the life of Christ, that is suspose to be manifested through the life of a believer.

I am a Christian myself. But this is the "Religion & Spirituality" side of Yahoo Answer site. Therefore it is opened to all religions, as well as Christianity.

Remember Jesus parable of the Wheat and Tares? The Wheat and the Weeds? And how the owner of the field wanted to go and pulll the weeds out? Notice what Jesus said (Matthew 13:29-30) Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them.

Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Many Christians of today are busy trying to pull the tares out from among the wheat. And in so doing they are destroying the wheat as well (giving Christianity a black eye, in the eyes of the World.) In this, the intentions are good, but the results are destructive, to the Church.

So, as Jesus said; Sow the seed. For some will fall by the wayside, and some will fall among the rocks. And some will fall upon the good ground.

My Opinion is that Atheists have their opinions as do Christians. They want to express their beliefs just like us Christians. Somehow they have convinced themselves that there is no God. I have never meet any that can explain creation worth a hoot to change my mind. Some people just like to amuse themselves by picking at others beliefs because they think they are so right. The truth is, unless you have had a divine connection and been given a vision or audio enlightenment from God, one on one, you are basically taking all you have learned about God on belief, second hand knowledge and teachings from other people. It is easy not to believe. Jesus said blessed are they that see and believe and more blessed are they that don't see and believe. I feel sorry for people who have not found Christ and Father God. But I respect other peoples thoughts and I am able to say let the chips fall where they may. In they end, I will have the advantage because they will have nothing and I will at least have the possibility of everything.

when an officer in the Vatican's army during the Crusades(forcing beliefs?)wrote to Pope Innocent the third that when a sword was raised over an Arab's head he would claim to be a Christian. So he asked the Pope how to tell if this was so. The Pope told him"KILL THEM ALL GOD WILL RECOGNIZE HIS OWN!" So where do you get off thinking that Christians don't FORCE their beliefs on the rest of the world. I'm an Atheist who believes in Jesus, just not Christianity.

I might have lost my reading skills, but to the best of my ability I read "Religion and Spirituality" in the header of the category.
How on earth do you get the idea that this is a section exclusively for Christians? This attitude is sooo typical, and exactly what gives many atheists/agnostics, and also followers of other religions/faiths their sometimes all too thin skin. If you insist on discussing your faith in public you have to be prepared for differing opinions being expressed.

The judges didn't rule against Christian laws. The judges ruled against secular laws that happened to mesh with the beliefs of certain Christians. This country was founded on religious pluralism. Just because people of one religion happend to wish the law was a certain way, it does not follow that the government is required to pass laws that accord with the beliefs of that one religion. To make consistency with Christianity a litmus test for every piece of legislation would directly violate the First Amendment establishment clause.

Athiests have nothing to live for. No hope, no future, no life, no happiness, no NOTHING. They are very bitter, hateful people. They impose on you because they don't have a life of their own and so wants to get into your life. They are totally jealous of Christians because they see so much beauty and love in us, they can't tolerate it. It just drives them to go ballistic ( crazy rage). If you have not love or felt love, then you have nothing and is nothing. That is the Athiests!

This is Religion and Spirituality, sorry. People of all beliefs (and none) belong here.

Why do Christians impose their views on Christians? I have my own reasons for being antagonistic though, I was once beaten into a coma by Christians.

It's pay-back for screwing around with our secular laws, our secular school curriculum, and our secular government. In short, you sold your collective souls to the Republican party and now you're no better than the rest of us. Do you expect us to politely stand by while fundamentalist Christianity works to systematically destroy America's future for the sake of ignorant superstitious mysticism?
