Probably if man cloned a human, God would get confused and not be able to figure out if it should have a soul or not. Don't you just hate all those times when God is so much dumber than humans.

Cloning is so different then identical twins! Not the same at all. When you put a piece of paper in the copier or fax machine how many chances are there that something goes wrong with it? Will a human clone have a soul, will it be an identical soul if it has one to the person it was cloned off of?I think it is wrong, wrong, wrong. How come even with twins you can still have one being diabetic and the other not, or some other disease and the other not getting it.There is already to many problems with the artificial and hybrid seeds like corn and wheat .Would rich people use them as spare body parts and would they or wouldn't they be classed as real people? And who would determine this?

I see ABSOLUTELY no reason we shouldn't experiment with it and clone a human and animals under controlled conditions. The science needs to be perfected.
Any reservations people have about it is usually about "playing god" or some other crap when they can't even prove god exists- guess what? cloning exists. Till you can prove god exists there is no moral or religious reason we should not experiment with it.
The only practical, logical reason would be the problems it could potentially create. Like any new science there needs to be regulations dealing with how experimentation and clones are handled. Unlike the internet, at least the science and technology is YEARS behind the speed it would take to make any laws governing the issues.
Because cloning is not, and cannot take the world by storm and "surprise" there will be far far problems with regulating that than with regulating and dealing with IT, copyright and other issues with the internet.
religion should never stand in the way of expanding our understanding of our world and of what we can do as humans.

I don't particularly want to be cloned but I see no problem if somebody does.
Humans have been cloning plants for ages. You probably ate something made from cloned plants today. At the present time, I don't think animal cloning is economically feasible but I would expect that this will change for both milk and beef cattle. If it does, you won't notice anything anymore than you noticed when they switched from using traditional impregnation to artificial insemination with frozen bull sperm.
Christians seem to get so worked up about the modern world. You really are living in the past.

Hasn't really worked yet. Too many problems. I can only imagine the outrage if human cloning were tried at this time.
But remember, they still have to start with what God created in the beginning. It's not like they have created this from their own chemical mix.

Cloning is a bad idea for humans. We'd have to compete with the clones for work. We certainly can't have that.

I think cloning is no different than identical twins, and thus of no moral compunction to prevent, so long as the results are respected for what they are -- if you clone a human, the new human is uniquely its own being -- it will not have the same knowledge or experiences of the original.

cloning is against many religions because they think that their god is the only one that can create life. i think that it is wrong to clone humans, if they ever get around to it, but i think that cloning animals is ok as long as its useful

I dont think cloning humans is a good idea. But how about rare plants? Rare or extinct animals? How about cows to make more meat? What about those kind of things?

I don't get why it's horrible.
We clone fruits and vegetables all the time to make them bigger, jucier, more colorful, seedless, etc... What's wrong with that?
If you are referring to cloning humans I'm pretty sure we have MORE than enough, so regardless of the ethics... it's just not necessary.
