Is it even important that theists realize God DIDN'T make medicine, cell phones, airplanes, laws, dogs, plastic, and beer? As long as they're happy, y'know?

No. We should just quietly keep making the world a better place for us. Xtians will just end up killing each other over an unimportant discrepancy in the interpretation of some minor passage in some disputed chapter of the Bible anyway. Afterall, its God's word, ya know, and they can't have any contradictions floating around .

What about the new technologies that we will discover in the future? Why can't we discover them now? The information about the Concorde, the space shuttle, the telephone, etc., were there all the time. We just couldn't decipher it. God didn't make planes, but He did give us the ability to learn how. And no, don't go quiet on us. Just keep loudly proclaiming how beneficial you are to the world. We Christians love that!

It's not a requirement for one to be an atheist to make the world a better place. You are right though, it doesn't really matter if they realize god doesn't exist, as long as they don't hurt other people on the basis of the belief that he does.

The story goes that some of the greatest engineers, contractors and logistics experts got together and decided to build a mountain higher than Everest. "We will show the world what man can acheive!" was the slogan. Months of planning, site selection, mobilization culminated with the collection of tens of thousands of skilled personnel and thousands of pieces of spaecial equipment to complete the task. On day one, The Site Director proclaimed,"We will do this without any Divine assistance!" A thunderous voice asked,"Where are you going to get the dirt?"

While you may see those objects as man made, Those that trust the God of Abraham and His son,Jesus, know that all things are made with Him. John 1:2

wow, god didn't make beer, well there's a turn up, him making all the good stuff.

Working to make the world a better place is a good goal, and if you do it quietly you wont annoy those who work nightshift.
