With all the new technology being developed, we will soon be able to create a new version of humanity. Examples would be neuro-computer interfaces, bio-electric energy created by solar power, ending the aging process, and an extremely durable exoskeletion. What enhancements or alterations do you think would be most important?

How about NOT trying to control a natural process? You can get by without x-ray vision and wings, you know.

I hope that I may be of some assistance. I am the High Priest of an online coven called "Order of Eternal Light" our non-member homepage is:

http://www.geocities.com/goku_piccolo2/h...

Before I answer your question I would like to say a few things about the coven. We are a white magick who strongly believe in good ethics. We also accept practioners of any age and "most" pagan religions. We also have an online occult library which consists of over 300 e-books and other rare info, plus members will have access to the members page where I post my personal notes on various subjects and will have contact with the rest of the coven! It's 100% free!

For this answer I was highly advise everyone to read or rent the move "The Celestine Prophcy"! This is a great piece of work, that is real, and talks about the next step in human evolution after mankind follows the 9 Insights. These insights I shall not go into but the book/movie does.
As far as improvements we should definantly follow the 7th and 8th insight which says that all our conflict comes when we take energy from another. By stopping this process we can actualy stop all conflict. This will allow us to evolve to the point to wear we will not long have physical bodies so to say but more like a spiritual body where we can enter and leave heaven at will in these bodies until we die! If nothing else you should hopefully agree that this sounds interesting. Please, if you get a chance look up the book/movie and form your own oppion but if nothing else the movie is really cool cause they make it action packed so to make it really interesting. I hope this was of some help.

Blessed Be,

High Priest

While the topic is noteworthy, this forum is designed to discuss issues relating to "religion and spirituality"; and, therefore, I would like to see this question re-asked in a form which facilitates an answer from within the context of the topic of this forum.

For instance, if this question were to be answered in the context of this forum, then one answer would be that those concerned or interested in the 'religiosity and spirituality' of human-kind, would then wish that the 'new technology' (as described by the one asking the question) would include or enhance our ability to be spiritual, et al.

?

Bryan

The next evolution will be beyond our control, and is partially explained in the Bible- that is we will be entering the Fourth Dimension, where ghosts (apparitions) and humankind can co-exist with the same plane with different tasks to perform for each species(??), or abilities granted to each party. It's complex to explain but the dead will be reincarnated and posses a body and they will soon be able to take that body to their perceived heaven to reside... able to find their way to the Normal world and return at their own beckoning...

Civilization is collapsing not advancing. It has passed it's apex. The future will consist of growing disenchantment with overdevelopment. People want to go back to simpler lives, not more complicated. Simplication will be the order of the day not greater levels of complexity. Clearly you will have no place in such a world.
You young sir are doomed.

i think we should focus on NOT doing those things you mentioned. First of all overpopulation is an INCREDIBLE problem right now. no worries -mother nature is taking care of business for herself as usual. And she will. Man has been rolling 7s for a long time now. There will be a major population reduction at some point and civilization as we know it will be gone for good. Chances we'll be set back quite a bit and wont have to worry about becoming cyborgs

If humanity were ever to create a new "race", that wouldn't prove evolution. Variation within a kind is not evolution. You would never be able to create a whole new "kind". Even if you were, that would only prove that it takes intelligence to create new "kinds" - which is what creationism is all about.

Ummmmmm changing a human by bio engineering is not evolution. But if you ever find true evolution please post the proof. Not gonna happen, but you can look.
As for bio engineering I like myself just as God made me and wouldn't change a thing. Love everything about everyone else too.

A wi-fi interface to the internet built directly into the brain would be cool. That is until government used it to control and or monitor us.

As I read the answers to this question I too began to think of James Redfield and The Celestein Prophecy. The question posed is an interesting one, but one must go back to the definition of evolution and what one believes is motivating or is the impetus for evolution. When we look at human evolution we are looking for the physical changes that evolve in response to the envrionment and survival. When we look at evolution from the perspective of being spiritual beings on a human journey then the impetus or motivation for evolution is deeper and more layered than a specie's repsonse to the environment.

As humans today, with all of our technology, we are literally creating an environment that cannot sustain life. Our evolution depends on our choices at this exact time in history. Will our emotional, spiritual, physical, and intellectual abilities line up in such a way that we find our own maturity as a species to make the choices so that we can actually evolve on this planet?

I like to look through the lens of spirituality and feel that the earth is really created for mankind to grow, learn, and to evolve as spiritual beings. The physical earth, body etc. is in service to this higher calling or purpose.

In Redfield's theory I find a limitation because becoming spiritual in whatever form and limiting our universal view and experience to earth seems rediculous to me. However, I do believe that having a more conscious connection to our source and lifting the veil a bit around our "forgetting of our true nature" will speed up our growth as spiritual beings. Also, having an understanding of the concept that we are energy and that there are natural and organic laws happening around us constantly based on this certainly expands how we percieve ourselves and our interactions with others and the environment around us.

Has anyone heard of Michael Newton's work? He is amazing. He is a hypnotherapist who stumbled upon reincarnation in his work with clients. This work evolved into "life between lives" as in his sessions he began to hear clients talk about their experiences as spiritual beings in between their lives and how they had grown, chose new lives and bodies in which to have in order to grow as souls.

Being present and in the moment allows us to remove ourselves from the drama and the story we are experiencing and recognize the larger being that we are in the observer of our experience. To focus only on the physical evolution of our species leaves out the beauty in the fact that as spiritual beings we are creators of our reality and thus creators of the evolution of our species.

I think that this process has little to do with environmental adaptation now and more to do with understanding that we are creating our own evolution by the perspecitves we choose, the thoughts we think, and our own ability to move out of our own boxed and sometimes limiting perspectives of who we truly are.

I am new here...so I thank you for reading!
