Jesus was sent to the Children of Israel ONLY.

(Matt 10:5-6)--- Jesus sent out these 12 after giving them instructions: "Don't take the road leading to other nations, and don't enter any Samaritan town. Instead, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

(Matthew 15:24) He (Jesus) replied, "I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel."

Muslims have a new covenant with God as per the Quran which releases us from the need to accept a Jew as God.

Jesus is the God for the Christians who were once Jews.

Christians say Jesus is needed for forgiveness and they also say that Isaac was the blessed child of Abraham.

Since Jesus was sent ONLY to the children of Israel therefore this protection from the curse of sin etc is for the "chosen people" of the Israelites ONLY.

God has a completely different covenant with the children of Ishmael as per the Quran !!

Although they may deny it, why else would they be hanging around a religious posting site? To "educate" us? Not likely. I think they just like being close to Christians because it's as close as they are willing to get to God, yet it gives them the illusion of being there for some other purpose.

Category being Religion/Spirituality, i post questions here to maybe connect with other people who are lucky enough to know the importance of OUR higher power...there ARE many things in my day to day life that make me understand that i Am a spirtual being...and i feel empathy towards someone who cannot move past the physical aspect of ourselves, because we are so much more than that. To say that WE are only the product of accidental exposure is degrading of ourselves and our fantastic humanly abilities. This makes me think that we can possibly be a product of a true creative genius. The Athiest point of view seems to counteract with itself when the person is subjecting themselves to the things that they are refusing to know and feel. The "proof" is all around us, i think provision has led to the refusal.

If a Jew follows Deuteronomy n kills his/her brother or any family member for becoming christian and telling them to do the same, will God be happy with that Jew or would that Jew be a sinner for obeying God?

"6 If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you, saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods that neither you nor your fathers have known, 7 gods of the peoples around you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the other), 8 do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. 9 You must certainly put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him to death, and then the hands of all the people. 10 Stone him to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery. 11 Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and no one among you will do such an evil thing again." Deuteronomy

Is the Book of Revelation coming true? I don't really believe in certain elements of the bible, but this bit seems to be happening.

"He forced everyone to receive a mark on his right hand or on his forehead so that no one shall be able to buy or sell unless he has the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of his name, and the number of the beast is 666" This could be seen as a bard code as each one is split into 2 section by 3 long lines, each represented by the number 6. To eradicate credit card fraud, and do deliver a cash and cardless society they are already testing laser tattoo barcodes on US service men.

"When the third angel blows her trumpet, wormwood will fall from the sky wormwood will poison a third part of all the waters
and a third part of all the land, and many, many, many people will die"

The Russian translation of Wormwood is Chernobyl.

why does the bible seem to have a problem with women on their periods?

Leviticus 15:19-30
And if a woman have an issue (her period/menses), [and] her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even. And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean...

If God created Satan, and then satan revolted, was there like a bigger threat to God before that? I mean Satan was not the creator of evil, was there evil before the whole satan thing?

Moslems proclaim when a person carries out a heroic act of 'estishad', he is welcomed by God, according to religious law , "One who blows himself up among enemies, in order to defend his land, is considered a martyr." Christianity (Catholics, Methodists, Lutherans, etc.) tell us to kill people for working on the wrong day (Exodus 31:15), or saying the wrong words (Leviticus 24:17) or because they are homosexual (Leviticus 20:13), Hindu's, Gandhiji, the greatest apostle of Ahimsa in the modern days, advised the fleeing Malabar Hindus before the rioting Moplas in 1923 to cultivate the art of killing and being killed. He averred that it did not constitute violence. Even the Upanishads declare that there is no salvation for the weak!

[64] Chavel 1967, v.I, 200f. The Bible references are Deuteronomy 20:17 and 25:19.

This obligation is commented by Rabbi Chavel:

"This Commandment ... will be better understood in the light of the following passage from the 'Mishneh Torah': 'We are not to engage in war with anyone whatever unless we [first] proclaim peace to him; [this is applicable to both] an optional and an obligatory war; for it is said, When thou drawest nigh a city to fight against it, then proclaim peace unto it (Deut XX, 10). If [the inhabitants] accept the offer of peace... we are not to slay a soul among them, and they merely become tributary, for it is said, [All the people ... therein] shall become tributary unto thee, and shall serve thee'." (Ibid.)

****** OLD TESTAMENT COMMAND BY THE LORD OF ABRHAM : ***********

1) Give them the option of peace (to become believers)
2) If they want to keep their religion, they must pay the Tribute (Head Tax)
3) If they deny the above two options then fight them.

In other words, if the city's inhabitants object to being subdued/enslaved, they have to be slain nevertheless. Also sparing their life directly contradicts Negative Commandment 49 (see note [65]).

"We must not make a covenant with idolaters, to agree on keeping peace with them or accept them practising idolatry, because it says (Deut 7:2) Thou shalt not make a covenant with them. Either they give up idolatry or they are killed. And it is forbidden to pity them, since it says (ibid.): Nor shalt thou shew mercy unto them.

Words from the OLD TESTAMENT.

If Christians believe Jesus is God then he is the God of the Old Testament and therefore they cannot deny that GOD commanded this for the believers.

"And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for 1,260 days, clothed in sackcloth." These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. If anyone tries to harm them, fire comes from their mouths and devours their enemies. This is how anyone who wants to harm them must die. These men have power to shut up the sky so that it will not rain during the time they are prophesying; and they have power to turn the waters into blood and to strike the earth with every kind of plague as often as they want."

Can any learned believer shed some light in interpreting this prophecy and provide full details on who those two witnesses are! Thank you!

What is your initial response to hearing a person is atheist: Have they not looked at the evidence? Are they scared of being held responsible for their actions? Have they not tried to find God?

I just read an answer that said something to the effect of "I'm an atheist and I probably know your Bible better than you." That could, in many cases be true. Some true Christians are not equipped to grasp great deep parables, etc. in the Bible, but there are sheperds and church hierarchy to guide them. My point is that although atheists can know the Bible word for word, it does absolutely no good in the mind; God's word must penetrate the heart. I know I may be putting God's Holy Word out here for numerous libbys and atheists to smash, but I want some honest answers and am therefore willing to pick through the nonsense. Besides, most of our detractors should be in school right now anyway, right?

How do you explain the Superbugs (bacteria that are resistant to antibiotics)?? I mean, think about it....this is proof of evolution at the microscopic scale, IN OUR LIFETIME. For decades bacteria were treated with antibiotics, but due to people using antibiotics either too much or not long enough, the strongest bacteria survive to create a new strain.

I'll say it again, THE STRONGEST SURVIVE. The bacteria EVOLVE into something similar, but new. And it's not coincidence either.

There are several different strains of bug that have become resistant to medication in the last couple decades. Now why do you think that is? The bugs are evolving people. That's not theory, that's well documented, visual PROOF. So my question is, how can you possibly call evolution a theory when you know that?

I mean, if this measurable, provable thing can happen in a matter of decades...don't you think it can happen over millions of years on a grander scale??

I heard about National Day of Prayer this morning on a Christian radio (Air 1). But no other stations even mentioned it. I went online and I did not see any articles about it. Why is this? If I'm not mistaken this day is for any person of any religion to unite with the Nation in prayer.
