I heard about National Day of Prayer this morning on a Christian radio (Air 1). But no other stations even mentioned it. I went online and I did not see any articles about it. Why is this? If I'm not mistaken this day is for any person of any religion to unite with the Nation in prayer.

It, and its secular counterpart, the National Day of Reason, have been on my calendar for so long that I hardly paid attention to whether they were getting any press. There will probably be some footage from various events around the country on the news shows later in the day. http://news.google.com/nwshp?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&tab=wn&q=National%20Day%20of%20Prayer

If you pray, by all means pray. If you don't, please consider giving blood. http://www.atheistvolunteers.org/

First of all consider who owns the media. Those that do not believe in God for the most part, that have their own political agenda and do not report on most of the news that has a positive result on the nation like the many non-profit events that go on daily to supply needs and save lives.
Next, the power of life and death are in the power of the tongue, so prayer is important if spoken aloud. it is downright stupid to cut down prayer when prayer is one of the few things that keep the nation standing.
For those that do not believe, I hope the blinders come down from the eyes that they may see the truth and be set free.

In his concepts Reagan did no longer have a carte blanch to do regardless of he needed purely because he had captured the GOP's hearts.

actually there are on google quite a lot of info on Nat. Day of Prayer. Do you think the media however thinks NDP is important? I wish that they did-and for those who say that NDP accomplishes nothing- I beg to differ- for me it accomplishes what God intends for it to accomplish- having His people humble themselves before Him. We need this everyday- and if the media decides to "advertise" it or not- is up to them, I am only accountable for myself.

Probably because it won't get them ratings. It would just cause a lot of people to be pissed off which they would have the right to be. I don't need a day to connect to the Gods. I have that every day.

Because they know it's a stupid thing that Bush did. They don't normally report on stupid things he does.
