All the many people who ask this same question prove that it is something basic and absolutely essential to our human nature. If it is only something that mindless evolution put in our heads, then it has made us miserable because mindless evolution cannot give us purpose. And because we didn't create ourselves, we can't give ourselves purpose. Those who think they can invent it for themselves can only pretend to do so through self deception.

God put the need for God inside of us and we will never be at peace until we find our rest in Him.

Seek your Creator. It is the greatest, the most noble and exciting quest, the bravest adventure, of all times. Through Him, all people become your brothers and sisters because He is the Father of all. Serve Him and come to know Him by serving your brothers and sisters. Do justice and love mercy but first seek to walk humbly with your God. Love your neighbor as yourself because your neighbors are your brothers and your sisters.

Yes, most definitely. But I think few people find their true purpose precisely for the reasons you mentioned above. We all get lost in the cycles of life as we know it and we don't listen or feel things that we should. We bury ourselves in every day life and neglect the other aspects each of us possess. It's there, within us, be it ambition, goals, dreams, call it what you will we all have aspirations living somewhere in us but lack the ability or tenacity to see them come to life. Buried within the rubble of living. That's why I believe it takes God to manifest it if we do what we are suppose to do according to his will and his ways. He brings it out of us but most of us are so busy trying to do what 'we will', we can't see or hear his. If we knew the path to take and not veer off course with Him, we would all be living the purpose he put us here for. At least that is my belief.

i've got confidence our genuine purpose for existence is to serve God. We have been made to stay in the worldwide as a 2d danger to have a good courting with God which will bypass to heaven while our bodies succumb. I additionally think of God has a purpose for our very own selves besides, having to do with occupation, properties, kin, etc. each and every thing takes place for a reason. yet in basic terms people who persist with God have him on top of issues of their lives, subsequently, he has a purpose for us, besides as others who do no longer have confidence in Him, yet they must exchange right into a persist with of Him to make certain that that to artwork out.

If there weren't, wouldn't it seem a bit depressing? I'm GLAD to believe there is a higher purpose for each of us! If in the end I find out I was wrong, I guess it really won't matter except for the FACT that my life has been richer for the promise alone!!!

Be blessed!! =^)

I think the purpose in life is to offer what we have to offer the world. We can make a difference in the world, town, house, counrty...etc. and/or to our children, parents, siblings, town, society...etc. We are all capable of having a purpose or reason to live. Sometimes we need to have the knowledge that we can.

No. I believe that the only purpose of life is to live it. When it's over - it's over. Wish I could believe otherwise but that's all I got.

The purpose is the same for everyone ... to come to know and love God, so we can be happy and content living in his own household, for all eternity.

I believe that our purpose in life is to love and serve our God. God should always be 1st, then our families, then our job and everything else. And if you put God 1st in your life everything else will work its self out, i guess you could say.
