The only way to make this argument is to ignore the word of God. God is one and he is the Father Son and Holy Spirit. Man was created int his image of God also more than flesh man has an eternal spirit making him the image of God above that of the animals who have no spirit. If a man is not more than flesh he dies with his flesh as a dog dies. If a man is more than one part made in God's image why would we consider God to be less than a man having only one part? God is Father Son and Holy Spirit our salvation depends on us having a spirit and also on the Son of God atoneing for sin.
The example of our salvation is in us being more than flesh and God being more than one part as the atonement was paid by the perfect flesh of a righteous God.

Well, you pretty much answer your own question.

Trinity means three. Polytheism is the belief/worship of more than one divine figure/god/etc.

Answer this question:

Do you pray to more than one? Jesus, God, Holy Spirit?

Saints...... in the pagan religions, which some saints were taken as gods from those, but I digress......in the pagan religions, they would be considered "lesser" gods.

Different name, but if you've ever prayed to a saint for healing/protection/etc etc, you have a polytheist.

Polytheism isn't a bad thing. But in order for it to be monotheistic, you can only have one god. Nothing more, nothing less. No angels or saints to pray to. Only God.

Atleast, that is how I look at it.

God's a schizophrenic, so he's just one guy, even though he thinks he's three.

Atheism is much less complicated.
