Prayer Day?? So people are setting aside one day a year to pray to our heavenly Father. That's sad. You should be praying every day!!! But I guess maybe if it will get people to actually notice that there is a God and he is still there....I guess once a year is better than none a year. How about making it a prayer for all to come closer to God, because the world we live in is being ruled by Satan for the time being. The only peace we will ever have on it is when God is ruling it again.

Some of the answers sure make me sad, wish they hadn't posted at all on this one.

Yes, we should pray daily and most of us do, but to have a National day of Prayer is a very good thing While doing what we can as individuals to make something a little better in whatever way we can, a critical mass of voiced or silent prayers I think is like a big alleluia to God, telling him we want to care for and honor his world. That we, his children want to give thanks as one big voice

I respect that this is the 'day of prayer', but shouldn't everyday be considered a day of prayer? Who needs an excuse to pray?

I have no need for a "day of prayer" I pray every day many times a day...I don't need a federal government to tell me when to pray. I pray because my Lord commands me to!

Thank you for the reminder. Most days I pray for all nations of the world, for peace and justice. Which just reminded me to call congress about the National Hate Crimes legislation.

Let me know what it accomplishes, I am very interested in the results

P.S. Do you have any statistics on results from previous prayer days ? I am very interested in what these days accomplished

I mean, if everyone prays on prayer day, it should have some noticeable effect, no ?

Please send me the results as I am very interested in seeing them.

If we need to be reminded to pray, then perhaps we need to be prayed for.

Instead of all praying to an imaginary figure and nothing will ever come of it we should band together and do things you are praying for.
