Though I do not oppose anyones' right to self preservation, life, liberty, and happiness, or the right to be secure in their homes and communities, I must question the extremes.

The problems I see are these..

1. Plates like these would so visible, that everyone would know who they are.
A) This would make these people TARGETS for anyone who would love to do harm to them.

2. Laws against doing harm to these individuals would not stop harm from occuring.
A) Laws do not STOP a person from commiting a crime. Law just insures that penalties exist for the offender.

3. By marking people out in the open for offenses that they already served jail or prison time for, places them into another prison and improper servitude.
A) The idea of placing one into fear of his life, or adding any kind of psycological distress like paranoia of injury from retaliation is, in my oppinion,

I'm a deist, however i found what i believed than later discovered the term. I feel it really is only one of a few beliefs that you find, not a belief that finds yuo. I based it on reason, logic and observation of the world, not on the teachings of another. What do you think?? What makes you choose revealed religion? "Revealed religion is based on the belief of fantastic claims made by questionable people"-unknown

Hi all!!

This question is for Christians:

In the gospels, it says that Jesus' resurrection meant that we too could have eternal life and that it 'opened the gates of heaven' you get the picture??

1. so is it trying to say that the only way to heaven is to follow Jesus?

2. so what happened to all the good people that lived before Jesus?? i believe that all who truly loved God and did His will went to heaven.

what do you think??

3. also, how about those of other religions who dont believe Jesus was the Son of God?? do you think that they cant go to heaven even if they are truly good people?

please number your answers if possible. you can answer all, or whichever ones you want

thanks! i REALLY appreciate your answers!

peace and blessings

Hey guys

had a conversation with a friend about a theory she has, which I would like to check out and prove her wrong (not going to say what it was, it was a long conversation!). Can anyone point me to the chapter and book/s where I can get the following info(in the Bible, Old and New Testament)?

1) the devil being able to do the ultimate good to perform the ultimate evil
2) the fact that Jesus died for our sins
3) the part where jesus wandered into the desert for 40 days and was confronted by the devil.
4) about us having to go through Jesus christ to get to God (or so I've heard)
5) the general fall of Satan from grace and the battle in heaven.
6) Any other relevant tidbits to do with Jesus and the Devil, inc. why he is referred to as "Christ", e.t.c.

Sorry for the really badly worded questions and stuff, not sure how to explain it. Suffice to say I want to do a bit of searching for myself.

According to Revelations, God plans on sitting on a throne and being worshipped for the rest of eternity.

Whether the throne is the flushable variety is unknown.

Seems to me that's a real waste of power: sitting...sitting...sitting...being worshipped...more sitting...

If you had the power of a god, what would you do with it?

(think on it while you munch your cold breakfast cereal ;-)

Believers, Jews, Sabaeans and Christians -
whoever believes in God and the Last Day and does what is right -
shall have nothing to fear or regret.
-- Sura 5:69

So, according to the Qu'ran, I'll go to heaven even if I'm Christian? Wow, you guys are so much nicer than us 'holier-than-thou' Christians.

Wait a sec...

Just three verses later Allah changes his mind!

Unbelievers are those that say:
"God is the Messiah, the son of Mary." For the Messiah himself said:
"Children of Israel, serve God, my Lord and your Lord."
He that worships other gods besides God, God will deny him Paradise,
and the fire shall be his home. None shall help the evil-doers.
-- Sura 5:72

OK, make up your mind!

Am I hated or loved? Will I go to paradise or fire?

Somebody please explain!!!

I find it very strange that when one asks a question say on a religious or mystical subject there are always these people who immediately tell you how gullible you are or that it is complete nonsense. Say for instance I want to talk about using magic for some goal or other. People immediately say that is nonsense. But almost always the people who say this have not put in any study on the subject. They dont know anything about how or why it may work. Sometimes these "sceptics" are even religious themselves and think people walk on water but magic is utter nonsense. Or for instance a subject like scrying immediately the response is that it is nonsense. But these "sceptics" have put no work or effort into understanding what it could be. I am sceptical myself and I think it is good to be sceptical. But one cannot make a statement if you have done no research on your own but simply BELIEVE other sceptic's claims. I prefer to find out things for myself and to delve into it.

Yesterday I had 7 people challenged me to a debate, & I offer to go to their web-site if they could answer one qestion out of millions I have, & I told them if you can answer the first one correctly, then I would debate, No one gave me what the original sin was, I was going to go from there & ask them what was the serpent. No one could answer my 1st question except that we don't need to talk about the original sin, I don't see why we don't have to talk about the oiginal sin if you were going to give me their views, & I was going to give mine, Since they could not answer my 1st question, I see that this debate could not go any further, Why should I debate with anyone that can not answer a simple question let alone the hard ones. Now they think I am the one refusing the debate, No I am not, I told them if they can answer my 1st question, then we can proceed, None could answer it. But Birdsflies is back again for about 1 hr.

How can just two completely different organisms in nature work together, and rely upon one another for their prosperity not tell of a Creator? How is it, that man can claim to be so open minded until you speak of an obvious Designer, then their boasting of open mindedness turns suddenly into scoffing, anger or closed ears? Is it because "the carnal mind [is] enmity against God" Rom 8:7 and "The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked" Jer 17:9. We think, foolishly, that we know what is better for our happiness than the One who created us.

This massiah is considered as antichrist by christains and jews. and he will rule the world for forty days.
