Though I do not oppose anyones' right to self preservation, life, liberty, and happiness, or the right to be secure in their homes and communities, I must question the extremes.

The problems I see are these..

1. Plates like these would so visible, that everyone would know who they are.
A) This would make these people TARGETS for anyone who would love to do harm to them.

2. Laws against doing harm to these individuals would not stop harm from occuring.
A) Laws do not STOP a person from commiting a crime. Law just insures that penalties exist for the offender.

3. By marking people out in the open for offenses that they already served jail or prison time for, places them into another prison and improper servitude.
A) The idea of placing one into fear of his life, or adding any kind of psycological distress like paranoia of injury from retaliation is, in my oppinion,

I have a child and I want what is safe for him. However these sex offenders ( like u stated) have served their time. They have did what they were suppose to so we need to leave them alone. Some cases it was stupid 20-24 year old men getting mixed up with a 16-17 year old girl, having consensual sex and he still gets prison time. In some cases I do think sex offenders should be recognized by something but in other I say leave them alone. Everyone makes mistakes, some worst then others.

We are speaking regarding Christian punishment, and, no, I do not believe this to be a Christian punishment. As a Christian, I would have to say that the offender would have to answer for his/her offenses before God. We are to forgive and allow for redemption. Ah, yes, an easy thing to say than to actually put into practice.

If one has served his/her time, then, they should be afforded the right to start their life anew, have a fresh start. I agree, however, that sex offenders often repeat their crime. Maybe it is the laws and the way to prevent such crimes that need to change. Allowing sexual predators total freedom may not be the responsible course of action to take. Requiring medical intervention and tracking devices may provide a better opportunity for the offender to still have a chance to redeem him/herself and yet provide a way for authorities to monitor their actions to ensure safety of other citizens, especially children.

Sex Offenders are horrible, but even they shouldn't have to do that. I bet the police wouldn'thelp them if they got beat up anyway. They should just go get counseling. Putting someone in a place like that, where they always have to fear for their safety, it seriously messes them up mentally. That's just not cool.

Yeah, I agree with every thing you said. But with anyone that is sexually violent, particularly to kids, I personally really don't care. And I just consider it part of the punishment.

Since sex offenders very often repeat their crime I really don't feel sorry for them.
