sometimes I see it interpretted to mean death on earth, and other times I see it said to mean seperation from God for eternity. How are we suppsoed to know which is meant when, since it makes a big difference in many sections of scripture.

Oh you are looking at Sheol or hell. You need to look at it in a different version that will explain it better for you. Then compare them. It seems like you are ready for Bible College good luck.

David talks about death on Earth but then some of his life was a bit like that. Have you got a Strong's that will explain everything for you although I could do it here for you it is better for you to look it up yourself so that you are doing the studying. Have a thesaurus and dictionary too oh yes and a concordance.

Look out for Tartartus that is in the Bible too except not all versions.

There are a couple of ways you can interpret the usage of death in the Bible. One: common sense. If Jesus says that anyone who believes in him shall never die, it's the truth. But are people who believe in him dying? Yes. So, it is a spiritual death, a separation from God, that Jesus is talking about. If Paul says it is appointed for a man once to die, and then the judgment, he's talking about physical death. Any verse, though should be studied out to be sure.

Depending on the translation within the context...

Death could mean dead....
Or it could mean seperation from God for all eternity

Acts chapter 4 is a good example of dead....the story of Annanias & Sapphira.....they dropped "dead" on the spot.....that's physical death

Spiritual death is revealed in 1 Corinthians....which talks about things that need to be spiritually discerned and that they are foolishness to those who are perishing

Do you have self assurance all scripture is given via theory of God? because of fact in case you do no longer, then it is not considerable what proportion verses I quote, you will in no way have self assurance what "the Bible says". Its glaring which you have been doing somewhat learn. So via now you should comprehend that we as people are all sinners; none everybody is stable. we are born with a sinful nature. What does that mean? The inclination to do what's undesirable. i do no longer pick to do what's undesirable yet while i'm getting careless I supply in. as quickly as converted God's nature takes over and provides us power to steer the final course. while The Lord returns, our sinful nature will give up to exist and our warfare with sin will end. Homosexuality is probably going one among the main complicated sins to warfare with. No different sin so of course impacts the physique as this one does. Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians to run far flung from sexual sin, for our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit. Paul is going directly to assert "people who bask in sexual sin will have not got any proportion interior the dominion of God". He writes that God will "Abandon them to their shameful desires" If homosexuality won't get you to heaven, then it ought to be a sin. Do you sense that God would desire to make an apology to Sodom and Gomorrah? Their sexual sins led them to destruction. If in straight forward terms that they had repented and became from their techniques... Paul writes that sins could be washed away and the guy could be made top with The Lord. it is what "the Bible says" and that i've got self assurance it.

3:3 But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

God told Adam if he ate from the tree of knowledge that he would die.Too many people say to their selves,well,why didn't he die?God did not mean that in a literal sense.Has it not ever crossed your mind,eventually everybody dies.The penalty for sin is death.Next is the judgment.God was right.Everyone of us will have to face death one day.There is no way to live forever,because we are saturated with the sin of Adam from birth.The only way to have eternal life is through the washing away of our sins through the blood of Christ.We can't pay for our sins on our own.We must have a mediator.That provision was Jesus.God would never have been able to spend eternity in Heaven with us had he not sacrificed his son.

Death is one of Satan's names. One of the main reason's Christ dieded on the Cross was to destroy death.

Hbr 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Satan's name is "death", and he has already been sentenced to death. (Eze 28) Satan is going to die in the "Lake of Fire", and there is no repentance for him.
