If the condition is "you must accept Jesus" then it's not unconditional. Why can't you use a different word and be honest about it?

I love the word Christ, do you? I use it all of the time. I'll say stuff like "Christ, all of these Bible beaters are retards!" or i'll say "Christ, why are these Christians stupid enough to actually denounce evolution?" or "Christ, why do these Christian retards bust my balls for wanting to drink a beer on Sunday?"

Eleventy:"I read this short story called "The Ones Who Walk Away." It was about an incredibly happy town, where nobody was ever sad. Then you find out they're just happy because they are not this one citizen, who is constantly being tortured in unimaginable ways. They acted like they didn't like the fact that he was in pain, but in actuality, their happiness depended on it."

Do you think the whole Hell thing was historically set up to make Christians feel good by making non-believers the scapegoat as in the story?

It is said several times in the Bible that people were shunned for marrying outside the faith. There had to have been other people on Earth, so who were they and who made THEM?

There was a young man who went overseas to study for quite a long time. When he returned, he asked his parents to find him a religious scholar or any expert who could answer his Three Questions.

Finally, his parents were able to find a Muslim scholar.

"Who are you? Can you answer my questions?," asked the young man

"I am one of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala)'s slaves and Insha'Allah (God willing), I will be able to answer your questions," replied the Scholar.

"Are you sure? A lot of Professors and experts were not able to answer my questions," replied the young boy

"I will try my best, with the help of Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta'ala)"

"I have 3 questions," began the boy

1. Does God exist? If so, show me His shape.

2. What is takdir (fate)?

If shaitan (Devil) was created from the fire, why at the end he will be thrown to hell that is also created from fire. It certainly will not hurt him at all, since Shaitan (Devil) and the hell were created from fire. Did God not think of it this far?

Suddenly, the Scholar slapped the young man's face very hard!

The young man, who was shocked and hurt by the slap became confused, "Why do are you angry at me?" he asked

"I am not angry," answered the scholar, "The slap is my answer to your three questions."

"I really don't understand," the young man said. He was really confused.

The scholar began to explain, "How did you feel after I slapped you?," he asked

"Of course, I felt the pain. it hurt," he replied

"So do you believe that pain exists?" the scholar asked

"Yes."

"Now Show me the shape of the pain!" said the wise Scholar

"I cannot," the young man replied

"That is my first answer. All of us feel God's existence without being able to see His shape... Last night, did you dream that you will be slapped by me?," the ascholar replied

"No"

"Did you ever think that you will get a slap from me, today?," the scholar continued

"No."

"That is takdir (fate)........" The scholar continued, "My hand that I used to slap you, what is it created from?"

"It is created from flesh," replied the young man

"How about your face, what is it created from?"

"Flesh, as well" replied the young man

"How did you feel after I slapped you?"

"In pain."

"Even though Shaitan (satan) and Jahunnum (Hell-fire) were created from fire, if Allah wants, insha'Allah (God willing), the Hell-fire will become a very painful place for Shaitan (Devil)" ended the wise Scholar.

The wise Scholar had answered all three of the tough questions by one slap.

I know that being a TRUE Christian means more than say that you're a Christian and saying that you believe in Jesus and acknowledge Him as your Savior.

It seems to me like some people just really enjoy threatening others with Hell .Why do you think that is?
I'm not talking about loving concern here, I'm talking about the people that just seem to like saying it to everyone that doesn't think like them.

I have been grappling with this one for many years. I question the benefits and "security" you can offer your children by teaching them there is a benevolent god and an afterlife for the good, while teaching them to live for today by the golden rule can suffice. Are we hypocrites if we teach our children to be faithful to a god that we ourselves are not sure exists? I brought my children up in the church but now have quit attending because I feel I no longer belong there--don't believe. Does anyone have concrete reasons to either go back to church with the kids or keep on teaching them the realistic/measurable approach to life?

I don't know if I'm spelling "hypercrite" right, but big deal. A hypocrite is someone who doesn't do the right things. So, we're all hypocrites. If you're not a hypocrite, then you're comparing yourself to God.
"We all fall short from the glory of God."

As far as we know, there could be a 15 foot tall part jungle kangaroo part manatee living in the Brazil rainforests that can walk and swim, as well as catch a fly a half mile away with it's 3,000 foot tongue. This is very improbable, isn't it? But does this make it impossible? NO. [Well, of course, this is just an example.] Centuries ago, when Australian pioneers came back to Europe and described the platypus, they were laughed at. Improbable, but they do exist.
So, just because u can't see God, and he's improbable, is he automatically ruled out?
I'm sure if u guys could have seen the things we have seen, and discovered the things we have, we could prove you wrong a million times over.
I'm not trying to brag you out, I just mean that if something hasn't been discovered yet, it doesn't mean it's not real. the Cancer cure hasn't been dicovered, so of course, it's impossible there is one. Which of course could be an understatement.

It's impossible a force that great exists. It's not much different than believing in Santa Claus. I find it funny how Christians still believe the lies and fairy tales in their Bible. The book was a piece of work that is mostly plagiarized by ideas of the Pagan religion at the time. In fact, Christians aren't aware their head leader, Jesus, was also made up and he got his characteristics from several Pagan gods such as Horus.

Consider Abraham. God commanded him to offer his son, Isaac, as a sacrifice. However, this was in direct contradiction to what God had previously told him, that Isaac would be the ancestor of a great nation..having multitudes of children. Knowing that God was not a liar, (that somehow Isaac would be the parent of a great nation) he didn't question the Lord in this strange commandment. He went and offered Isaac up. God stopped him and then explained the reason for this commandment. (That it was in the similitude of the sacrifice that Heavenly Father would allow to happen to His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. He wanted Abraham to understand how hard it was to do such a thing so that he could fully appreciate the great sacrifice of the Son of God.) So it seems that after the trial of our faith come the explanations. So why would anyone think it strange that Mormons are commanded not to drink coffee and tea when there are no obvious reasons not to (except of course that God commanded it)

It just seems sad to me that you guys don't seem to have understood this point.
