I don't know about everyone else here but I can speak for my own personal view on this.
The first thing we are to reach out to people with is the gospel
of Jesus Christ. To do this right we need to draw attention to the Holiness of God and the utter sinfulness of humans. When people see themselves in the light of God's Holiness they will either fight against truth or see their need. There is no middle ground.
THERE ARE THOSE WHO QUESTION BECAUSE THEY ARE BEING HONEST ABOUT WHAT THEY THINK.
I have no problem with those people, and try to minister to them in love and take time to really see what it is they have to say.
Then there are others who come in just to waste time. They live an empty life and want to pour out their emptiness on the others who come so they spout off all kinds of nonsensical things without meaning or purpose. Many times it is easy to see by their questions that they have nothing of real value to say, so I move on to questions that are worthwhile answering.
If I do answer their questions I do it with love and concern for their never-dying souls.
There are some people in here who have no care for that which is holy, and they come only to mock and downgrade all who subscribe to the truth of the Word of God. They insist on
being rude, vulgar and coarse in their approach and really don't care about what anyone thinks if it doesn't agree with them. To cover their attitudes and actions they try to find as much real or supposed fault in others as they can to take the attention off their own ignorance. Everyone, including them knows who they are. For those people the wrath of God is reserved because they will not respond to His offer of grace and mercy through Jesus Christ.
Hell is the only thing they deserve, and when it is presented to
them they squeal like a stuck pig.
There are also some (Christians?) who come in here and it seems as if they only thing they do is create strife or preach condemnation to everyone including the other Christians. For
them the word of God has much to say about offending their brothers and honest seekers of truth. They will be judged by a Just and Holy God according to the intent of their hearts. I am sure they will not like hearing this from another Christian, but the Bible does say to speak the truth in love and tells me that "I am my brother's keeper."
The final group of people who come to R & S are those who have come to know the Lord as their Saviour and King, and who want to share Him and His love with others. They make mistakes sometimes, but they will apologize for them. They also are bold and fearless witnesses for the Lord and will not back down when truth is challenged by some of those who are mentioned above. They are totally dedicated to Christ and are trusting Him and Him alone for their salvation. They take no joy in sin and it grieves them that people can be so foolish as to mock the word of God and the God of the Word.
Their hearts are set on Heaven and this world holds nothing of
importance that would ever sway them from following Christ.
To them Heaven and Hell are very real destinations, and they
will not compromise the Word of God for any living person or any evil spirit. To hear from them and disregard carelessly what they say is the greatest folly next to rejecting Christ as Saviour and Lord! They are His representatives on earth. Hell is not a subject they enjoy discussing, but when it comes up they are not unwilling to share truth about it, especially if they believe that doing so may deliver someone from there.

Just a natural carnal human characteristic. We often feel a surge of "justice" or "glee" when we see someone get what we think they deserve. Do you scoff when a celeb gets busted? Or when a car passes you on the highway and then you see them pulled over up the road? Did you say, "saw that coming" or "serve's him right" It isn't nice, but I think we all do it to some extent.
Hell is nothing to laugh about, or wish people into. Those who take that attitude are greatly lacking in love, thus, they don't know God either, so they're probably headed there themselves. The Bible says that if you don't have love for your fellow man, you don't know God, the requirement for not going to hell.

In 1917 in the Portuguese townland of `Cova da Iria` three children had a vision of Hell that terrified them and no wonder their description of this place was absolutely frightening.
They saw the actual fires of Hell and demons torturing the poor souls of people who having denied God all thier lives ended up there.
Hell besides being anything else is that place or state of being where there is the total absence of the love of God,can we even begin to imagine our own world devoid of all love and affection? the result would be a close second to actual Hell, now I would never say to anyone that they are going to that terrible place it just dosen`t bear thinking about, so I would certainly do whatever I could to open their eyes to the possibility that any of us could end up there, and it is eternal, without end.
Some people use the threat of Hell as if they were being smug and self righteous and this is a very bad thing to do,others like myself would never dream of cursing someone to Hell and would do whatever is within reason to enlighten others so that they can escape this place and go to Heaven.

That is true and I don't understand it even as a Christian. Even though we believe in Heaven and Hell, the whole point of the bible is GOOD news! Making the decision to follow Jesus shouldn't be done out of fear - I see it like marriage, you choose to be with the person because you love them.

Some people just say it like it is others don't. I am not going to hell so I can't say how others feel about it.

Misery likes company. Christians are jealous I can lead my life without fear of hell. What a Christian believe to exist I know it does not. What is the definition of a lost mind? Think of a Christian that believes in a primitive book as absolute truth then you have the full implication of a lost mind that can't find it way to reason and fear and guilt are the mind's blinders.

Nope the only folks that seem to get a kick out of it are those who make fun of it because they don't believe. For those of us who know its real there is no kick, we simply don't want anyone to go there. for people who "threaten" well some folks just don't translate well and there are those who twist things for their own purposes. This is why folks should go out and do the research for themselves. There is lots of facts and proof out there. God Bless

I read this short story called "The Ones Who Walk Away." It was about an incredibly happy town, where nobody was ever sad. Then you find out they're just happy because they are not this one citizen, who is constantly being tortured in unimaginable ways. They acted like they didn't like the fact that he was in pain, but in actuality, their happiness depended on it.

You are wise beyond your age. People do indeed use hell as a device to try and threaten people with eternal damnation if they don't believe as they do. I myself believe in God, but don't think God wants me running around threatening others with hell and damnation. We have free will. God gave that to us. Who am I to question his decision?

They want to feel powerful by deciding who around them deserves eternal punishment. They also want to have some sort of revenge against those they see as foolish and evil.
