We have answered this question before. Adam and Eve had many children. They lived over 900 years and had many sons and daughters. Cain, Able and Seth all married their own sisters. So did the rest of Adam and Eve's posterity until there were multiple generations and more people to choose from. However, as is obvious, they were all related to each other in one degree or another. Our biological forms were apparently more perfect than they are now. We have more biological imperfections now than people did then so the chance of genetic abberations was considerably less.

First you must understand that people back then lived for many years (hundreds of years) and had many Children. Adam himself almost lived 1,000 years. Another thing is that the Bible doesn't say the date Cain got married.
2.) The punishment for Cain was that he would be outcast form his family. In other words he had to walk around the world (wonder off) for many years alone with out one single human around.
At the same time Cain wondered for hundreds of years around the world with out one human in sight, the rest of Adams and Eves generation kept multiplying (creating empires and spreading across the world).
This is way God put a mark in Cain for there would be one day when he would meet again with more humans but because he would be a wanderer (and since no one would know who he is) they would want to kill him.
so when Cain finally married his wife; it was a woman that had been a descendant form Adam and Eve generation.
Hope I have wrote everything clearly.
remember God First created Adam and Eve
and Cain married a woman that had descendant form one of his brothers and sister.
God Bless

Adam and Eve were the 1st people created. There was no religion at that time - they only knew that God was there because He was. he spoke to them and communed with them.
The question of Cain's wife is one of the most often asked questions ever. And it's quite simple really. Scripture tells us that Adam and Eve lived over 900 years and had many sons and daughters, who obviously married and had children of their own. I'm sure that Cain had no end of wives to pick from from his own sisters/ neices/ cousins/ etc.
It seems odd only because now we don't practice intermarriage between family members, but in a perfect world, with perfect genes and DNA, there would have been no problem at all - especially since people lived to be hundreds of years old.
blessings :)

Read Genesis 5:4, Adam became father to sons & DAUGHTERS.
So, Cain must have taken a daughter of Adam (sister) as a wife. That was not insest at that time. The blood lines were pure.

The Bible says that Adam and Eve were the FIRST created. Why would the word first be there if He didn't create more?

Ok then. If that's true, Quella would you care to explain how the world got repopulated by Noah and his three sons after the Flood?
Uh huh.
Quella:
No, one man and his wife, three sons and their wives.
Now tell me how they repopulated the entire world from a gene pool of just eight people, five of which had common genes.
And whilst you're at it please explain why we have ******, caucasians, orientals and others from this base stock.
