Yes you are right they were muslims. Infact Adam(peace be upon him) was also a prophet just like the other prophets say Jesus, Moses, Noah, Muhammad (peace be on all of them). You must always remember that all the prophets sent by Allah (right from prophet Adam(pbuh) to the last prophet Muhammad(pbuh)) were true prophets and all of them invited their people to one and only Allah. This is exactly why Allah sent His prophets in the world so that they preach the true religion and invite people towards Him. Since all of them invited the people towards Allah, they all preached a common religion that is Islam. Though there were some changes in laws and commands of Allah which changed from prophet to prophet but the basic religion of all the prophets remained same that is Islam. Hence we can say without doubt that prophet Adam(peace be upon him) and Eve were muslims. Hope I've answered your question.

Religion is a product of society. 2 people generally can't be a society, so I say they were without religion. The first humans in Africa (Adam and Eve if you will) were probably more worried about where to get their next meal or whether that wild cat was going to eat them than whether or not there was a god.
Ps. I like how some fundie has gone through and put a thumbs down for all the answers that say that there was no religion. Living up to your reputation I see!

*Is Catholic*
There really is only one religion and that is the religion the worship the One True God as he instructs us to worship.
Adam and Eve worshiped God in the garden of Eden and when they were cast out, they passed on this form of worship to their children.
Over the centuries what was passed down was distorted, through carelessness, the violence of demons, or by evil humans. Sometimes these new religions influenced others fractured or combined into yet more religions.
However, God always worked with mankind to bring them back to true religion. As a Catholic, Catholicism surpasses the old form of the religion of Adam and Eve. Catholicism is the fulfillment of the promises of the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. We teach this and we preach that Adam and Eve have be raised to eternal life and now join in the praise of the Hosts of Heaven, the Angles and the Saints, as they worship and adore the Father.
The Catholic Church teaches that Christ, when he died, descended into the earth to preach the Gospel to the dead and to usher into heaven the righteous dead, including Adam and Eve. Adam and Eve are thus Catholics now, as Vatican II and the Catechism teaches us that everyone in heaven practices the Catholic faith.
The question is, why are they not Muslims? Or why should you believe me that they are not Muslims?
Let us put it this way. I do not know these answer but you do.
What Muslim has had a vision of Adam in Heaven?
What are the Muslim prayers to Adam?
What Muslim has received help from Adam?
Does Islam act in anyway as if Adam is in heaven? Or is it only because it is written in a book.
As a Catholic, scripture doesn't tell me that Adam is in heaven (though it tells me that Christ is the new Adam) but the totality of the Catholic faith, in worship, in prayer, in practice, tells me that Adam is in heaven and he worships the Lamb.

I would like to respond in regards to your belief and the Quran.
Islam as we know it today, started in around 640 A.D., which means 640 years AFTER Jesus death.
Christianity comes from Judaism, AFTER Jesus death as well.
At that time they were NO muslims. People in this region believed in several Gods.
Onlu\y the Hebrews were monolistics, and Islam is really a derivative of Judaism as well.
In regard of Adam and Eve religious beliefs...who cares !

you're precise, of direction, we are all concerning Adam and Eve. it incredibly is precisely the way God needed it - one human kinfolk - emphasis on kinfolk. the comparable person who instigated revolt interior the backyard of Eden additionally instigates dissension and affliction between God's human creation. As to the religion of Adam and Eve, faith is basically a sort of worship which incorporates a equipment of religious practices, attitudes, and ideology. they may well be own, or they may well be recommended by using an business enterprise. faith oftentimes has an merchandise of worship including God or a god or a brilliant number of gods. there is genuine faith and fake. Adam and Eve belonged to the genuine faith as long as they have been obedient. whilst they grew to grow to be disobedient, they no longer practiced the genuine faith. it incredibly is so because of the fact to obey the genuine God is to worship him. To worship the genuine God is to obey him. it incredibly is unreasonable to represent that God has no standards and subsequently does no longer care how we worship Him as long as we are trustworthy. If God had no standards, he does no longer have cared that Adam and Eve disobeyed Him. we don't confirm what pleases God. God determines what pleases Him and if we are to worship Him acceptably - as a manner to eternal existence, we would desire to income those standards and comply. the genuine faith nonetheless exists. it continues to be obedience to the genuine God. interior the backyard of Eden, it in contact one factor: pass away a definite fruit on my own. as we communicate it includes plenty extra. It behooves us all to absorb know-how whilst John 17:3 teaches. Hannah J Paul

The use of the term "religion" in this context is probably inappropriate. There were no organized religions in that day. They followed a pattern of religious practice given to them by God directly. They sacrificed to God according to His instructions as a symbol of the atoning sacrifice of Christ that would come in the meridian of time. They followed what is known as the Patriarchal Order of the Priesthood, meaning that the father of the family presided over the temporal and spiritual affairs of the family. The Patriarch of the family held the higher priesthood and administered the ordinances of their faith as given to them by God. They were not muslim, nor Jewish, but Christian in the purest form of the term in that they were taught to worship the Lord who was to come. They knew that all of their worship was to direct their thoughts and actions to Christ, the redeemer and mediator for mankind. All forms of worship since then have derived from them and are less than perfect. Not until the restoration of all things spoken of by the prophets can we claim to have the perfect form of worship that Adam and Eve had.
I testify to you that the restoration of all things has begun and is on the earth in full force. It began in Palmyra, NY in 1820 with the visitation of God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ to the boy, Joseph Smith. He later received the record known as the Book of Mormon which was translated by the gift and power of revelation from God. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was officially organized in the State of New York on April 6, 1830. Since then the church has grown to 13 million living members and is found in nearly all countries of the earth. The stone has been cut out of the mountains without hands, meaning it was not man's work, but God's, and has rolled forth to fill the whole earth.
That gospel taught today is the same as taught by Adam and Eve six thousand years ago.

I don't know that there was established religions then, but they were Chrisitan. If there was a church, they would have belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ.-
Actually at that time- they would have been Jews because at that time, followers of Christ were Jews.
Edit***
People were followers of Christ long before he was born. Prophets had prophesied of his coming many years prior to his birth. People who believed the prophecies, were his followers, most were considered Jews. Now days they are considered Christians as Jews believe that he has not yet come to earth.

they had no religion, as they did not attend a church, or have a creed, or a set of rules. and when you get down to it, all religions before primarism were polytheistic, so the christians are wrong, the jews are wrong and the muslims are wrong, none of them were the primary religion. they are all based on earlier polytheistic religions. as are all of their teachings , belifs and stories.nothing origional in any of them. just study history. not saying, moses, muhammed and yeshua werent great men, they jsut werent the end all of everything
