What to you is a good christian? I mean I don't expect ot be perfect. I know we ALL sin and fall short of the grlory of God, but I feel like I should have somekind of standard or Ideal to aspire too. I'm looking for things like........
A good christian prays,I dunno twice everyday.
Or a good christian reads such and such verses or chapters of scriputre in a day. I guess maybe what I want are "attainable" christian guidelines in my life! Hope you guys can help.

then, wouldn't we all be direct descendants of Noah and his wife, instead of Adam and Eve?

Why do Catholics still call Mother Mary a virgin, even though Jesus had a brother and a sister?

I just wondered if they ever thought about that. Cause surely they realize that placing restrictions on them won't make tham change or go away.

It doesn't sound very Godlike. I thought God loved all people. Is it possible that the God who takes sides is not really God, but an acrchtype of arrogant humans?

The real God is superior and smarter than us. Somethng doesn't fit. The fundies god seems to have tantrums, and hates everybody but fundies.

Matthew 24:35

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.

Just wondering. A few days ago, a non-believer asked what Christians would do if the God's Word (world-wide) was destroyed.

Non-believers, what do you think of this verse?

This is a question for Pagans only. How important is it for you to follow a tradition that comes from your cultural (and genetic) background; and if yes; why?

if he suffered so much in it, and died in the cross, why do people adore the cross so much, even get it tattooed, worship it. am not a bible aficionado but i do believe in God, and if am not mistaking, the bible says not to worship images, etc.
Why do people worship the cross? doesnt make sense to me.

Nothing, because the burden of proof lies with the atheists to prove that God does not exist. That is the basis of science, and why we use controls. That is why our court system uses "Innocent until proven guilty" because the prosecutor must rule out all other possibilities to explain that the crime is a result of the defendant.
So, by the scientific method and current understanding, God cannot be disproven by atheists, so God must remain a possible solution. Anyone who says otherwise is doing so on opinion and not logic

I am interested in building a cob home. I am proud to be pagan and would like to incorporate a lot of magick into the home. Does anyone have and suggestions?
Also, for those of you who don't know what cob is, it is a building made of clay, sand and straw - similar to adobe. Has anyone ever had any experience with this? I've never tried it, but I really want to do it. If there is anyone willing to try it, I'd be more than happy to accept volunteers as well!!
I know there's a lot to this question, but I just want to get out there and see people's opinion on this matter.

Would it be true to say that even if the THEORY not fact, of evolution where true that through that process there would have to be a first human? The first modern man and or woman? Could Africa possibly be the Garden of Eden? Thus through either belief of the Bible version or evolution their could have been an Adam and Eve? The Discovery Channel said this on a show a few years ago.

Okay, I feel I did not word my question right.

Many athiests are OUTSTANDING people, morally righteous in every way, etc, and I do NOT by any means wish to say that because you are athiest, you are a bad person.

I know that you strive for things in life. Art. Humanity. Goodness. Recreation. Education. Love. Family. Beauty.

In fact, many athiests beliefs are quite similar to Christians, minus God, the devil, angels, afterlife, etc.

I would feel very much hurt if you believe that I am close-minded. I love people regardless, and its important you know that. I do not believe in God simply for Pascal's Wager, it's just something I think about.

NOW. I suppose I just wish to know why athiests choose to not believe in an afterlife. Why is THAT satisfying?

I have noticed that in certain questions ( deep questions )
some will agree totally and some will strongly disagree

there seems to be the same type of people agreeing and disagreeing
I could place money on it sometimes , I know who will reply and in what way they will reply
for example
if I were to ask something as simple as
isn't the world beautiful
I know various people who will agree with that and in their answer tell all manner of ways in which the world is beautiful
and then others will strongly disagree and say what is wrong with the world

are our perceptions of things so black and white ?
do we either see the good in all or the bad in all ?
is this the biggest segregation in life rather than religion and politics etc ?
thoughts please ?

I do not believe a lick of this, it sounds like complete and utter nonsense.

What are some scientific documents about this (I'll take either side, pro-miracle or anti-miracle, but they have to be online, accessable, and coherent.) ?

The sun can't just move around like that. It's dumb.

read james 1:13,matthew 24:1-14,you will realize where he was,and in 1914 when jesus took his throne in haven that was as it explains in matthew a sign of his presance in hevan and the conclusion of this system of times was that there was going to be wars, food shortages, earth quakes, and wars against nation against nation and and kingdome against kingdome.and in 1914 after jesus took his seat in the throne world war one broke out.so you see the evidence.and in james you read "when under trial let no one say "i am being tried by god by god"for with evil god cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone."
so the holocaust cannot be blamed on god or his son.also is zechariah 2:8 saysfor this is what jah of all armies has said"following after the glory he has sent to me the nations that were dispoiling you people, for he that is touching you is touching my eyeball." so u see god does not want you or any one else to suffer, and i know that some still might think that god is to blame but he isn't ,what do u think???if u need a bible http://www.watchtower.org/e/bible/index.htm http://www.watchtower.org/library/pr/article_06.htm
