The backlash against religion in government. For the last decade, religious Dominionists have been trying to push Christianity on people by leveraging government to promote their religious superstition. Lately, there has been a backlash to this movement and we are now seeing secular groups gaining ground in combating this deterioration of our rights.

Where to begin....First would have to be the media. When I say media I am referring to actual people. Who controls the t.v, radio, magazines, etc., allowing people such as Howard Stern, Hugh Heffner, (and his dumb bunnies), Joe Francis from Girls Gone DUMB, etc. etc. etc. But this is only a small part of the "crap" the media spoon feeds to our society. All the materialism is outrageous in our society. Out of guilt or to keep up with neighbors, what ever the reason parents spend entirely to much money, hard earned money, on their children to keep them " happy" We live in a society with many children never being satisfied, always wanting more, and complain constantly about boredom. Parents do need to spend more time with their children. Turn off the t.v. Better yet get rid of it. Although parents are a strong influence, many people in our society help to shape them into adults. Although I have many ideas of what I think should be changed that I could not possibly fit into this answer, I with out a doubt support a change within the media which would lead to our great first amendment. It is used for these reasons. To enable " crap"and because green paper is louder than destruction, it will go on most likely for some time. Do not follow where the path may lead,Go instead where there is no path and leave a trail. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Ask the Holocost survivors. I am sure that alot of change has taken place in the last 60+ years. I hope so at least.
I remember the race wars of the 60's and all of the protests of the 70's. Today's road have been paved for this generation. We now have equal oppertunity employment, lending and housing, society has changed, but we are not done yet.
I know that they is so much more that we have to do, but 100 years ago a woman could not own her own property or vote. People were jailed and even died for that.
Don't loose faith or hope. Join community volunteer groups, mission work for your community in you local church, or ask your schools what you can do to help. The best way to change society is to roll up your sleeves and start "getting dirty".

A homework question is a sign that some people are not afraid to learn. This is an orderly change following the educational segregation and suppression of early years.

That is america giving up the useage of the n-word. The forgiveness of the rutger's team towards don imus's remark. That shows we are making some progress. Orderly, no. But still a good change. It was good to answer this question. You show intelligence in asking this question.

I'd say the Civil Rights and Women's Liberation movements were awfully important and necessary steps for our society.
It was a slow and painful process to gain equality under the law for ALL people, not just the rich, white Protestants who founded this country.
Unfortunately, some people are still small minded and bigoted :0(
But at least we all have equal protection under the law. It's not perfect, but it's a start!

The Supreme Court enforced the ban on partial birth abortions.
This is good because it prevents babies from getting sciccors forcibly stabbed into the back of their heads and their brains from being sucked out.
I'm totally serious, that's what happens in a PBA

We'll be digital robotic prisoners in a while, or replaced by clones. They're too paranoid to live quietly, peacefully, and in respect for other living things.

The end of slavery. It was neither orderly nor random. It was poorly executed and driven by politcs rather than justice ... but it was necissary and good.
