These church people i know are always making fun of people and putting them down. I go to church and i don't recall anything in the bible that says it's ok to make fun of others and it really bothers me when church people act this way because that is not the way God works. Why are people such hypocrites? Aren't we as christians supposed to love and respect each other? I know quite a few church people that are like this, and i can't stand it! What's the best way to deal with people like this?

Obviously if you have any humanity at all it's a totally horrifying idea. Nevertheless, from a strictly scientific viewpoint it would be entirely workable, eminently practical and certain of results. Anybody whose income fell below a certain point would be automatically disposed of under law. So if Science has the answer for everything,if religion is the source of all evil, and if a perfect society would supposedly be based on scientific principles then why would an atheist disapprove? How could one, logically? You could say, well "liberal humanistic values" but that is merely a secularized version of Christianity. Is my logic wrong here and if so where?

The damage done in the name of ones god/gods is historically very clear, and modern communties also struggle when a global, common and unifying scientific perspective is denied.

There is such a thing as too much tollerance where fairytales and the running of the state are concerned.

Like muslims like to recite things in arabic. Even before posting something on this site, they have to type something out in arabic. They have to say their prayers in arabic. They take on arabic names. Most muslims aren't arabs, in fact arabs make up only 15% of the world's muslims. So why is islam so Arab-centric?

.. to make a clear case for the evolution of the universe, our world and all it contains, including life, would they still believe in an anthropocentric deity, who in the vastness of the universe, would still have a special and selective interest in them, their religion, their country...?

A tree well taken care of?
Your roots in living water?
Just dandy when the heat comes?
Not worried about drought?
Ever yeilding fruit?

Jer 17:7 Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
Jer 17:8 For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.

I don't have faith in God because science just makes more sense to me (although I'm still open-minded about God and am stil searching). I dont' know why I don't have faith, it just isn't there.

I do however, believe in ghosts. How can that be? Does it mean that I'm choosing what to believe and what not to believe? How can I believe in one form of the "spirit world' but not another?

I know I'm making myself sound like a dumba** because I am intrigued by the supernatural, but I can't seem to find God to be real. How can that be?

Seems like there "NEVER" happy
My grandma is a Cathlic and so is my ex gf's parents. There so bitter and seem like there never happy, they make it seem like there better then anyone else. The energy is negative.

Also why do they bow to the virgin Mary Statue? Its a sin. Idolatry. Its in the holy bible. They do it every ware from what my older brother is saying. People pray to Mary to pray for them, Its like they worship her and God says "Worship no other God" Our Father God is the other true God out there. I wouldn't count Satan as a God.

Please be serious and no stupid answers.

So you finally discover the ying to your yang. You run across the man of your dreams only to find that he’s not available, and to make matters worst he’s feeling you just as much as you are into him. The two of you connect on all levels, (excluding sexual). You experience an attraction that you’ve never felt before. The two of you are inseparable; it was rare love at first sight without a doubt.

You soon find that you amazingly co-exist to complete each other but there’s a possibility that it may never be because of his deep rooted spiritual nature that obstructs him to leave his current love despite his feelings for you.

So what do you do? Do you wait for him, or do you continue on your journey to find everlasting love? Do you pray upon a higher power to guide you in the right direction? Or do you just walk away, forever wondering what could have happened?

i just discovered that the woman that i am about to marry wouldn't be my 'soul partner' for ever.. it's the scariest feeling i have ever felt. if god spoke of marriage of such a beautiful convenant and such a beautiful gift. why wouldn't he have it in heaven? will we lose everything we had with our wives? even though this is a unfair question asking living people. but, i'm terrified of what i might lose. she is the world to me, and i dont know if i can lose that.

Also, do you believe that Jesus rose alive into heaven without being crucified and that Judas Iscariot was crucified in his place?

How can you possibly believe that?

Catholics worship one God, but pray to different patron Saints for specific needs. Within the greater mysteries of Paganism is a belief in a divine spirit, but they worship many Gods as specific aspects. In both cases the motivation seems to be to focus the spiritual energy for a specific purpose. So, other than the arogant belief that one system is superior over the other, is there a substantial difference between the two?

Please don't tell me that it's because thePagan Gods don't exist, or that the Catholic God doesn't exist unless you can offer some meaningful proof to back up your claim, and it is relevant to your answer.

I am truly looking for a deep and meaningful understanding of the difference between the two systems. Although I imagine that this is a new concept for many of you which I do hope that you contemplate, that does not negate the fact that I am looking for a real answer from someone who has contemplated these issues before. So please do not leave flippant answers.

yes i know it was to prove a point. to me that goes against what god is about. if god is as holy as the bible claims then why would he even allow such a travesty to occur. when in the end he knew the outcome ahead of time.

At my mother's funeral I got the giggles. My brothers and I went to view her body at the front of the church. We all looked at her, and she had the make-up of a cheap white-trashed whore. So two of us began to giggle. From behind it looked like we were crying. My mother's friends rushed up to console us...and we had to pretend to cry. Love ya mom!
